The Tao of Districts

Hello everyone....

Could someone explain how districts work? Is their purpose to put you back in the playground? I've searched the forum and couldn't find anything. If there is a post, would you mind pointing me in the right direction?

I am fairly new and just can't get it in my (LuLu's) slightly slow doggie toon head how they work.

Districts are like "shards" on other MMORPG's - as in, say the both of us are in Toon Valley, Toontown Central playground. If you swap districts to say, Zany Acres, you will appear in the Toontown Central playground, but you won't see me.

The districts are different servers that you can play on.

Hmmmmm...so is their purpose to find a server that is less busy than the one you are currently on? If there are zillions of toons in ZanyAcres but none in Loonyville, is the advantage to go to a less crowded, quicker server?

I wish they were actually a quick way to get to another neighborhood ("Beam me up, Scottie!") although I enjoy the health benefits of running my little legs off....

Think of it as parallel universes all the same, yet slightly different(that being the toons in each district)..busy or not?? depends on what you are looking for! Want to VP ONLY with friends? go to a less busy district. Want to fish in peace? Go to a quiet district. Want help with some bldgs, but no friends are on? Go to a busy district. Need to visit a shop quickly but its a cog bldg? Go to a busy district..odds are it's been taken back and is a shop again. When lag is bad, I do my running around in slow districts and then switch to busy districts to find toons to help with tasks.

yeah,i hardly every go to loonyville,giggly point,or kookyboro,they tend to get Overloaded with toons
