How do you dodge a cog attack?
Hello everyone
My son, nephew and I have a question that we hope can be answered. We have two toontown accounts and have been playing it for roughly a month, by this time we should know the answer to this question but we are divided on the answer (they think that they are right and dad/uncle is wrong) . The question is; when fighting a cog do you manually dodge the cogs attack or does the computer do it for you? My apologies for the silly question but it is one that has been bugging me from the beginning. Sorry, I forgot to ask, if you do indeed dodge manually how do you do it?Very sincerely, Murray, Derek and Brandon. |

you can tap the jump key till your finger gets sore and it won't make a difference! Your toon jumping or ducking is like rolling a dice in Dungeons and Dragons. You have odds of dodge or be hit and it is basically random and out of your control, just like a pie hitting a cog or missing.

Has a developer said that you can't dodge cog attacks? Can someone say with 100% certainty?
I was in Sellbot HQ tonight and a Mover & Shaker did his usual earthquake jump. I hit the UP arrow on the keyboard repeatedly and I jumped and he missed me, but nailed the other 3 toons. I've done this numerous times and they miss me more than they hit me. I hate M&S cogs and ambulance chasers. I've noticed that if I see them duck down just before they jump, I start hitting the up arrow and they will miss me 80% of the time. After reading this post, I decided to try an experiment and not touch the keyboard during a cog attack and I got hit more often than I dodged - about 80% hit vs. dodge. If I hit the arrow keys in the right combination, then I can dodge attacks more than I get hit. I've tried different keys on the keyboard and only the arrow keys seem to affect cog accuracy. Legal Eagles and Yesman attacks that use the golf club requires some combination of left or right arrow and down arrow to duck. If I do nothing, then I get hit 100% of the time. Other attacks simply require a left or right arrow to jump out of the way. I've been playnig around with it, but I notice that one or two arrow key combinations help me to dodge attacks. If I do nothing, then I get hit more often. Anyone else tried a scientific approach to see what arrow key combinations work? Thoughts? -Left Blank |

i emailed a dev and he said that its programmed. But it all depends on how advancced your toon is, or if yourtoon is on a far end of the battle.far right or far left.or if u jump in an elevator first.they might think u are overconfident2c
