I'm frequently in there with my 40 laff toon, as the double experience is a great way to practice that sound of theirs!!!
Therefore, I would say that to get into the HQ you need an access pass. Judge McIntosh would give you access to the Courtyards, Coach Zucchini to give you access to the factories, and Lil Ol Man giving you access to the VP area. Before then, you'd get a popup box saying you need to get an access pass before passing that point. Saying that, I would also ask for this to be extended to all the other playgrounds too. For example, at the same time as Postmaster Pete's tasks, you can earn the "Access to Donalds Dock" task, from Mary's Go Round Travel Agency. Here she will tell you about a new area with a dock theme available, but to get access she needs you to help promote the playground. To do this, she has a new cine-film advert, but the negatives were nicked by a cog. You then go and bust up a cog looking for the cine-film negatives, then return them to Mary. She then asks you to deliver a copy to Toontown Theatre in Punchline Place, returning to Mary. She then asks you to do the same with Kooky Cineplex in Loopy Lane, again returning to her. Finally, she asks you to visit the last one at Punchline Movie Place in Punchline Place. When you deliver the last one, you're told that Donald's Dock is very close by, where you then get a quick overview about the tunnel to Donald's Dock, and that the tunnel is right outside the Movie Place. You then get access to Donalds Dock. When you come out of the Movie Place, you're right in front of the tunnel to Donald's Dock, and can test out your new found access!

what a creative idea!
I like that. I play my sons 40 something toon a lot and go through sbhq easily with it if I choose the right people. If you are an experienced player and know how to work it a 40 plus toon can go along with strong toons very successfully. But I try hard to only go with those who seem to want to take the little toon along. Half the time I have been able to link up with someone who ends up with the tt of "help a toon with less than 50 laff through sbhq" So it is mutually beneficial in that case.
But as for the VP, I totally agree it would be nice if the elevator shuffle could be avoided. It is so frustrating when a low laff toon doens't understand it is IMPOSSIBLE to get through VP and not only will he get sad but in the VP fight every toons cooperation matters. I always wish there was a speedchat that says " because you are low laff this is risky for everyone else" something to that effect. I like helping a lower laff with my maxxed toon, frankly, it has become a lot less fun once she became 105 and maxxed all her gags. Fish and VP and buy things-----not as much fun. Hoping the doodles will be more than just pets so the game will be fun again. |

I happen to be a 75 and vp is my favorite pastime. I love it. I'm already a telemarker 2, but I have level 5 gags, other than trap, which is level three. |

sure it isn't that 15 laffer blue horse that keeps showing up there that is turning toons away from the head quarters?
3rd night in a row he's held up the vp lobby. But I did get in with a nice group of toons in another district. However, I did notice a lot of 105 without very many level 6 gags. But we did ok.

With regard to the factory--and particularly to the VP--I am rather exasperated with finding toons with low lps and without being fully gagged. I generally confront them with, "Got gags?" and they say "Yes," even with their best gags grayed out. You know there is no way they will survive, and will probably cause you to go sad as well. I agree that there should be a minimum lp level to enter VP. Is it really doing a toon a favor to lead them to the slaughter? I know everyone is anxious to get there, but once you start it gets so b-o-o-o-oring. I miss the early tasks--even Little Old Man
--when you felt as if you were actually accomplishing something, instead of around and around the factory a zillion and one times! So much for my own personal rant. |

Give the toons a break. After all, when you check a fouty laffer there just may be a b-day cake in for you. The point is, high laffers are always trying to change the way other toons play. They whisper, "I think this is too risky for you." and "Please go away!" This happened to me once when I was a super n00b. High laffers only care if they win, they could care less if the forty laffer gets sad. When I went to VP on my old account (80-something laff) a 100 laffer said, "I think this is too risky for you." Only 20 lp away! I could take care of myself, thank you very much, and I think other toons around the world feel the same about snooty high laffers.
I am finished. |

sheesh, noobs don't know better, u gotta help em out, and some lower laff toons have tasks to get in!!i say if they have at least 21 laff (so they don't die if they have full laff if they get hit by one of the lights in the warehouse) they can go in! if there is a noob there u don't wanna go in wit, find other toons to go in wit u, or change distracts!!!
if u have a good amount of laff, u only need another person wit a good amount of laff to go in wit u, so u both have toon-up to heal eachother PIECE OF CAKE!!! stop blaming NOOBS!!

Great!
I think some of these suggestions sound really good. Although I know you can't please everyone, I do think something needs to be done and the suggestions to making toontasks the way to do it seems the most feasible way for all. Just my thoughts....but keep in mind, I've only done the factory twice and no VP (I'm taking the advice of a great many here and waiting until my toon has enough laff points so I don't show up in here as the example of what NOT to do...ha!)
However....my poor husband's toon as 2 toontasks which he's finding extremely difficult to complete. One is the task to get a key from a legal eagle and the other has to do with a task within the factory.....and he can't get a 3rd task until he does the key as it's the one to teleport. It's made especially difficult as he doesn't have the tune-up gag yet...YIKES!! Both my son and I take turns trying to help him get those tasks done...but so far not much success. Anyway...back to the topic. If there were some means of making sure toons pick tasks to work themselves up to the factory and VP, I think this would be a good thing for all. Especially the children playing the game....would make them want to complete tasks versus just doing the factory runs like my son enjoys doing. Let's keep these positive suggestions coming!! It gives me hope that something can be done to bring the game back to a more positive level. |

I've got a 61 toon. Throw maxxed. 1 Ton weight..... He's good. Now I have a task that requires me to get a boatload of cogs in HQ but I'm not gonna bother bigger toons into holding my hand til I get my laffs up more. And, I work on stronger gags while doing it. I think it's a matter of some toons have no respect for someone who's paid their dues.
