Question How do you train the Training the Lure Gag track

I'm up to the five dollar bill lure track(200 points and worth 3 points) and want to get the large magnet. But the large magnet is 800 POINTS! All I have is a 1, 2, and 3 lure point gags to use from. How do you go from 200 points to 800 points? What other tactics are they such as using it in invasion battles, vp fights, and buildings to increase the lure tracks points dramatically? Please help thanks.

Your best bet is to find a friend who is working trap. Traps boost lure success rates.

Factory is a good place to work lure, but you do need big toons with you whereas you can clear buildings more quickly with smaller toons.

Also, if you think 200-800 is a big leap, you show yourself as a noob. hehe.

Have fun in ToonTown!

Cog Buildings are the way to go... (I think)

First, I need to know a few things:
(1) How many gags can you carry?
(2) What levels are your other gags ( and what tracks are there )
(3) What is your laff?
(4) What building radars do you have (if any)?

On laff 56, I find that 1 easy way is to go to the most popular district, (usually nuttyboro) and then go to Donalds Dock. Go to any street, depending on what you want. Since I can carry 40 gags and my levels are 4-4254-, I carry the max number of Small Magnets (10) and $5 (5). I then carry my other important gags - Cane (5), lipstick (3), whistle (2), fruit pie (6), cream pie (3), seltzers (5), squirt gun (1)
Save your $5 for the upper levels of buildings. If your laff is high enough, do 5-stories in Brrrgh. Otherwise, look for fours in Donalds Dock.

Well, agreed. When you (mattmeister get to big magnet, it'll be even more of a headache.

P.S. If you want me to help you, you can pm me a code.

When I got my lure, I used it everytime I battled on the streets. I would lure, then throw. If I didn't knock out the cog, I would lure again and squirt. When I first got it, I took some tasks of helping new toons in ttc. That helped get me over the $5 hump and the pink hump too.

If everyone in the building was doing something different and would end up defeating the cog, I would pull out my lure. If it worked, great. If not, it was ok too. Many times other toons would see I had lure and would support it.

Now, if you are in a building with someone building up their sound, they might get a little mad at you, but if you take turns using your gags, they shouldn't be too angry at you.

I have found in general that if you use 2 of the same types of lures, like single or group, they will still work. It's when you you a single lure with a group lure they have a tendency to miss.

I'm not the noob. I'm the one with two years experience who's trying to help.

Oops!

Another way to level in buildings (if you carry 40 gags)
carry 2 [feather / lipstick / dust], 3 [megaphone / cane / balls]
carry 10 small magnet, carry 5 $5s
carry 10 throw gags, the 10 strongest possible
carry 10 squirt gags, the 10 strongest possible
Remember, on the higher floors, the multipliers are higher. Try to save your $5s for the last two floors of a building.

Oh yes, does anyone know if:
(1) The $1 bill has a better chance of hitting than the small magnet?
(2) The $5 bill has a better chance than the large magnet?
and (3) The $10 has a better chance than hypnogoggles?

The only thing with the factory, is you don't have the opportunity to use very many gags, even though it is xp for it, unless you get in with a group that wants to run the entire factory and take their time doing it. I might use all of 10 gags at the most, if everyone is in a rush.

I got a lot of points doing buildings with smaller toons. #1 they think it's awesome and you get to use it a lot more. Typically, I can use lure 2 or more times per floor with smaller laffers.

I find typically the magnet below my top level magnet is the most reliable.
Like my $1 hit better than my pink, the pink hit better than the $5, etc. I guess once you maxx out, the hypno's become more reliable, I am short about 800 to getting those.

Calling me a n00b! I have a life and I dont spend all my time in toontown i let my little sister play. But she does hardly anything. I've been in toontown since like the middle of year 2002 one of the original toons but I quit because it was getting boring.

There are 2 Things you should do.

1: Buildings and HQ are good because they offer 2-3 times the gag experience

2: This is what I did : Look for invasions. They are the best way. But dont go into the factory on an invasion only cog buildings.
If you reach a 5th story with an invasion and use a small magnet then its x3 for level 5=6 then x 2 for an invasion=12 and thats just of of one magnet.
Sorry if this doesnt make sense lol.

OK I take it back, you're not a noob, you've "been in toontown" 2 years and don't know how it works. I admit that there is a difference

Lures are more likely to work on cogs nearer their own level. So don't try using a level 3 lure on a level 10 cog, it's quite likely to fail.

Lures are also more likely to work when the cog's light is on orange or red instead of green. Basically the nearer the cog is to blowing up, the easier it is to lure. So if you use that $5 lure on that level 10 cog when he's flashing red, you've got a much better chance.
