I see that alot too!!!
I was on the street this weekend, and I saw a toon with low gags battling a 6 or so level cog and taking hits...sooo, being nice I jump in the battle and he stops using gags!! I was on a mid level toon, more cogs came in and he just stood there!! I tooned him up, got no thank you, continued to fight alone till they were all gone. As I was running off, I see him attack another cog, USING HIS GAGS NOW so I just left him there LOLOL!
It's kinda mean for me to do that, but I'll help anyone who asks as long as they make an attempt at doing their part. It's useless to save gags, you get no exp. points, but I guess they don't see it that way! And the ones who do that in the buildings are the worst, I agree with you totally! I would feel sooo bad just standing there letting everyone work for me. |

Toons that won't battle!!!!
That is how I would feel too!! I was in the cog factory the other day with 3 other toons that had like 64 laff points. 2 of them tried to battle right along with me and the other one just stood there with his finger in his nose and let us do all the work. When one of the toons that was trying really hard to kill cogs died cause I ran out of toon-up ( by the way I was the only one that had toon-up out of the ones that were battling) He still stood there and did nothing. When he finally got out of there I got a chance to look at his gags and he had toon-up that would have helped out during the battle. I couldn't believe it. Then this jerk had the nerve to come up to me and ask me to go through the factory with him again!!!!! I just ran off and helped toons that would at least try. I don't mind helping anyone that needs it but I draw the line when they don't want to help. Really ticks me off when your setting there dying and they won't toon you up!

Gosh you will never believe this:
There was a building my friend and i needed reeeeeaaaaalllly badly. An 102 laffer that could solo the building (all gags and 3 stories) refused to wait. So i got on but my friend was too late. I thought "hey, with an 102 laffer this should be easy!" WRONG!!! He wanted me to kill the cogs ALL BY MYSELF while he got credit. I'm sure that if i almost got sad, he would give me a toonup so that i would just keep killing the cogs by myself. Noooooo way was I gonna let that happen. I let myself go sad. I'm sure the idiot finished the building though, and got credit. I HOPE NOT!! I HOPE HE WENT SAD!!! HE IS THE FLY Ok angel, breathe smoothly now (lol) |

Well, this isnt very nice, but when I run across that kind of situation, I simply dont use my toon up on that toon. It becomes difficult in a building situation especially when you have to make the decision between damage control and keeping the other toons alive. For example if a lure misses and we've taken alot of damage, the choices are:
1. Lure again and hope you don't miss and other toons can use toon up. 2. Estimate the damage you will get if you simply give up on the lure and try to take out a cog. Doing this only if you are fairly certain you wont lose anyone in the process. 3. Toon up the most damaged toon and hope the others either lure or select an appropriate cog to kill and not pick one that is stronger than the gag they selected. Of course, if the fighting toons are severely damaged, I will select an appropriate toon up for that, even if it means I have to toon up the toon who isnt fighting. I've also run across this in a street fight situation recently where cog after cog after cog kept coming and as soon as I joined the battle, the toon I came to assist stopped using gags. I guess he figured since he was 40+ laff and I was 107 it was appropriate for me to do all the work! Sorry it doenst work that way. He got upset when I chose to go the damage control route and didnt give him an immediate toon up. I took out 5 cogs on my own, and of course, he would let the timer run out thus allowing other cogs into battle. I got alot of flack over the lack of toon up from me but no thanks for the work that I had just done. He had nothing higher than a level 4 gag trying to defeat level 6 cogs. Fortunately most toons are thankful when they get help in a battle, and I dont mind assisting a fellow toon especially if his laff is very low and at risk of going sad. Its just a matter of hit and miss for the most part with toons. The annoying ones arent enough to make me quit assisting others in need. I hope that when my kids run into trouble, people will come to their rescue too. |
