How do i get credit for rescuing a toon?

I recently picked up a toon task , thinking it would be east ( my first mistake)
I have to "rescue 3 toons in sellbout HQ". I have found toons down to their last laugh point, jumped in and healed or destroyed the cog they were battleing, no credit towards my task. I tried having friends use sos in HQ and call me, no credit towards task that way either. So I'm lost, any suggestions will be tried, except deletion of character

"Rescuing a Toon" means going to VP and Winning to release the Toon in the Cage. So you need to Defeat Sellbot HQ VP 3 times for the Toontaks to be Completed.

I have the task for 3 toons in HQ ....and I knew what it ment when I took it! After you defeat the VP you rescue the toon in the cage and get an S.O.S card! One more Rescued toon and I'm 3 Laffs higher on Mister Loopy Dandydoodle and he will be a 95 laffer.

Thanks for the info, I wanted to be a little better gag equipped before going guess I need to get busy.

It is admirable that you want to up your gags before going in but you have no problem going in and beating them with the right group. I recommend the cold caller guild. Read how they defeat the VP and go with them. You wont have elevator shuffling and you will be helped along the way
