In Brrrh...trap or drop?
I don't know what I should choose...I don't have a lot of toons on my friend list so I usually work alone unless I bump into someone...
Which would help more?

Both gags are tough to build solo, IMO. Drop is very unreliable without a setup, even against lower level cogs. It is a nice gag to have in teaming up with others, though. So many people have trap, picking drop allows for a nice complement (I haven't played much lately, but I still think trap is the best setup gag for drop).
I prefer drop because it allows you a little more control of the round, as long as you're flexible about which gags to use. A lot of times you won't be able to use drop because the cog is already dead. Getting a lure seems to be easier than getting a reliable drop setup these days. On the other hand, if you have drop you can finish off nasty cogs with a bang. With trap, you're just throwing your marbles into the ring and can only hope that the people you're playing with will know how to take care of business. If you always play with people who know what they're doing this shouldn't matter. In your case it sounds like you're likely to group with people who might not be very experienced, so drop seems like a good choice. If you'd rather just be lazy and not spend your battles adding up hit points, though, pick trap :-) |

In that line, how about drop vs. sound
So in the same line of questioning, my final choice is between drop and sound. I am fairly sure I was going to pick sound because it is not too hard train up and useful in groups but does anyone have strong opinions?

Thanks
I ended up choosing trap...because like others i think it is very unrelaible and I don't want to chance it up against up higher level cogs...I think...!

Drop is more group friendly. It is stackable with other drops, so if there are ever really high level cogs a few pianos should kill it while trap requires 2 toons to execute. So insted of 170 + 170 + bonus damage you get 120 and a lure. (not sure on the exact damage)
Lets say there are 4 toons: Round 1: Lure = 0 damage Trap = 120 2 Bday cakes = 200 + bonus Total = 320 + bonus Round 2 Lure = 0 Damage 3 Bday cakes = 300 + 150 knock back + bonus Total = 450 + bonus Round 3 Lure = 0 1 Bday cake = 100 + 50 knockback 2 Pianos = 240 + bonus total = 390 + bonus There is about 130 difference between all of these, but right now any of these will kill a cog as they stand now. So it is all up to you. Last note Drop is nice with a setup, but it is not required. Trap requires lure. BUT it is a game pick the gags you like. My wife hates drop and loves trap so that is what she uses. |
