Identifying Lag with Speedchat

I've been suffering with lag for a while now. Nothing horrible, but it makes it hard for me to give my best in a battle with other toons because I can't always see what the other toons are doing/targeting before I am forced to select.

Plus I "delay" a lot.

If you see Good 'ol Rhubarb in the streets and he says the following:

I can't.
Hurry up!
Sorry!

I'm trying to tell you I have lag. Please understand. It's my 56K modem Someday DSL will visit my neighborhood and there will be much rejoicing!!!

Oh! If you are working with me in a battle, abuse the "Let's use.." or "I think you should choose..." commands liberally and I'll follow suit. Messages seem to have no delay, or less delay, when compared to other things.
