Gag xp question...

Hypothetical scenario...

You and two other toon are fighting two cogs, one is level 5 and the other is level 3. The other two toons throw two level 5 pies and take out the level 5 cog. You choose a level 4 seltzer squirt for the other cog and hit him, taking him out. This all happens in one round.

Do you get xp credit for your squirt? I realize you can use higher gags than the cog you're hitting, as long as there is a cog that level or higher in the battle. But since the higher-level cog was killed BEFORE you used the higher-level gag, will you still get xp credit for it?

Just wondering... Never seem to remember to check the after-battle stats to make sure.

If you hit a cog with a gag with damage more than it's cog points the experience points for that gag will not count. Only gags that are a bit less than the cog points is what you get credit for.

In this scenario you do get credit for your level 4 squirt. It doesn't matter that the Level 5 cog has been killed prior to your Level 4 squirt being used. As long as it tells you get skill credit before you group all picks a gag, you'll get credit.

Yeah, you do get XP, and it even says so at the toontown FAQ's

If this were true no one would ever be able to raise drop using the piano.... it has to do with the highest level cog remaining in battle at the start of a round, the remaining life points of a cog are irrelevant

Thanks all.. I knew about the gag background being blue for xp, but was'nt sure if the higher cog needed to still be alive when your gag hit.

Thanks again
