I've got a couple of time-saving tips for the factory.

1) When you get to the west silo catwalk (whatever it's called), the elevator isn't usually there waiting, right? To get on top of the silo right away, start walking towards where the elevator should be. While running, start to jump. You should soon teleport to the top of the silo. I'm not sure if this works for the east catwalk part though.

2)On top of the eastern silo, there is the door to one of the two switches. For the east silo (this doesn't work on the west), you can quickly walk into the room facing the switch, step on it, then walk out backwards. You should be able to get out and hit the switch before the door closes. This way, you don't have to wait for it to open!
