I've posted this on the news thread, but since most don't read that forum I am posting this here.
Is anyone else who has downloaded the new toontown launcher having trouble getting true friend codes? I have tried on all my accounts, and have tried on a friends account with the same errors. When I try to generate a code, I am given this message: When I click to set my parent password I get this message: When I agree to exit the game and go to the website to set my parent password I am taken to TT's website and prompted to put in my parent password. After that I get this error: PLEASE NOTE that my account is paid and up to date. This toon I tried this on already has several secret friends. I've had my parent password set since I began this game. Also, even though the blue button is not showing on that first picture, I can still tf chat. I just can't generate codes. This needs to be fixed SOON. I see on test there have been complaints and reports to disney about this. I will not be using my launcher until this is fixed as I need to be able to generate tf codes.. Has anyone figured out what to do to get true friends codes using the new tt window and launcher? Thanks in advance!! |

Ive never gotten this message either. It's only with the new launcher. You have to have the new tt download/launcher they released today to get the error. I've spoken with online help and they were unable to assist and told me to send a bug report, which I did.
I need for people who are currently playing toontown within the brand new vista compatible launcher window to try to get a tf code and tell me if they are getting this error. If so then it must be something they need to fix, not just my computer. Thanks! |

I had been running the older version of the toontown launcher on Vista without problems. My Sister told me about the new version of the launcher, so I deleted ToonTown and installed the new launcher and now I have the same problem. I reported it as a bug and just received the following message from support:
Dear Toontown Guest, Thank you for your bug report. We are currently looking into your problem. All players will receive this fix in an upcoming patch that will be automatically downloaded and installed when released. We appreciate your help and patience in resolving this problem and hope you will enjoy your time spent in Toontown. Thank You, Kanji Disney's Toontown Online Member Services ![]() |

It seems that once you remove the old internet version of TT, you can no longer get to that loading page if you have Vista; it takes you directly to the download page.
I found this out last night because my laptop shutdown on its own (didn’t notice the battery was low) as I was playing TT, then I rebooted and could no longer get on TT. It would say that I didn’t have a compatible video card. I decided to uninstall TT and all I could do after that was download the new version. The new version works on my computer, not sure how the old version thought I had a video card that is incompatible with TT. The Dogfather |
