A Couple of Questions
1. A lot of toons are doing this thing where a certain talks and sounds (obviously) like what animal they are (ex. Mouse's bubble says "squeak squeaky squeak squeak"). If you know what I'm talking about, can you tell me how do I do that thing?
2. I'm ready for promotion, but I don't know how or where to go for promotion. How do I promote myself? Thanks to anyone who can help me out. |

I can help you with the first one! The toons that you see making onomatopoeic animal sounds i.e. squeak squeaky, woof woof, etc. are making those sounds because they are speaking to one or more of their friends in secret friend chat. Instead of displaying the actual conversation it comes up as "squeak squeaky squeak squeak" etc.

First of all, welcome to both Toontown and Toontown Central! I'd be happy to help!
1) When toons do the "jibberish" talk, they are using Sercret Friend (aka True Friend) chat. In order to do it, you must have at least one SF (Secret Friend). All you do is type like normal, and you and any SF you have that is near you will see what you're saying. Everyone else will see "squeeky squeek," etc. This makes your conversations private--just for you and your SFs. (However, you still need to act appropriately, as moderators can also see what you say--even if you're alone in a room.) To get an SF, you need to get/give a code from/to a friend. You click on the "Friends" button in your friend list to get one...and also to enter one. The easiest way to find a new SF is to go to the "Secret Swapping" forum on this website! Best of luck!! Secret Swapping Forum 2) If you're ready for a Sellbot promotion, that means you can VP! (It means you have your full Sellbot Suit and can go fight the Vice President with up to 8 toons!) You enter the lobby to VP from Sell HQ...instead of going to the factory where you gained your suit parts, go straight ahead into the big building with all of the doors. Be sure not to get on an elevator all alone... I would highly recommend checking out the CCG (Cold Callers Guild). They're a group of awesome toons that get together to fight these boss battles. Be sure to read all of the guidelines and the schedule before attending! Good luck, and congratulations on getting that suit! CCG Forum |

Oh, Secret Friend Chat! I just have to find where I wrote down my parent's password, and then I can start typing away to all of my friends. Thanks, Immilk and Miss Fluffy Snifflepoof!
I only fought the VP once, but I lost, since one of the toons left the elevator at the last second (I hate it when toons do that), so it was just the 3 of us. I'll train up to fight the VP again. Thanks, Miss Fluffy Snifflepoof! |
