Craning questions

I got on the crane today for the second time in my life. The first was several years ago and I must have blocked it from my memory b/c I haven't the faintest recollection of the experience. I just remember "being there".

Anyway, I have several questions about this piece of machinery. First, how do you stop the magnet from swinging? I tried using my arrow keys and it just swung even more. I was afraid it was gonna hit me. Second, when I pressed the ctr key to pick something up it promptly fell off. When picking something up do I keep the ctr key held down or let it go. Actually, I tried both and they still fell off.

What is the secret???

So, what do you do to keep from dropping it?

Ok, when I first jumped on the crane, my magnet was already swinging wildly. I pressed a few arrow keys and it still swung but I was able to move it over a goon and I pressed the ctr key. The goon fell off. I moved the swinging magnet again to the goon and pressed the ctr key and it grabbed a safe instead which I was happy to see be released. I tried again to pick up a goon, this time holding down the ctr key...but alas, it still fell off. At that point I decided to remove myself from the crane so someone who knew what they were doing could take over.

Live goons will wriggle until they fall off. You need to pick up a disabled goon, hold down the control key and alternate between pressing the forward and back key. Once the goon is swinging in the direction of the CFO, let him go. It'll take a little practice but I'm sure you'll be able to do it.

For help, I suggest the CCG, a great bunch of toons.

Relax, the pressure is what will make you sad.the crane will stop swinging wildly on its own.bring back the magnet to the position closest to you.then wait for it to calm down.pick up the goon or safe you want, and release it after swinging it toward the CFO.tips:get a safe or two "ready"for when the cfo is stunned.when that happens, you'll be ready with a safe.
make sure yor crane is swinging toward the cfo, back it up,and get a second aim if you need to.c)watch for the cfo aiming for YOU,when he does, jump off the crane, then return.4)you can pick up an unstunned goon, drop it by you, jump off and stun it,jump back on and pick it up and throw it at the cfo.sounds tricky, but it is easy.good luck!! and Peace~Nick
