Help!! I need help fixing lag!

Ok I am running on a Win 2000. I played this game a few years back and I had absolutly no lag. I have recently re-joined the game and im getting lag. I understand this is proboly because of the increase player amount. I know that if I want to help I could go to a less populated district. Undrestand that when I first start the server I dont have any lag. Its when I play it for and hour or so that i start to get the lag. Is there a better way to fix this than what iv listed? If so please tell me!

I have the same problem. After about 2 hours or less I have to restart my machine, which takes about 20 minutes. Very Annoying! Does anyone know what the problem is or how to fix it?

I have upgraded my RAM and graghics card which did help some. I dont get so many freezes but the game still lags after an hour or in nutty river, summit. Instead of restarting comp. if you hit ALT F4 it will take you back to the PLAY NOW screen and you start from there for another hour or so of play

Sorry...I couldn't resist. It's been this bad since they started adding things to estates like canons and gardening. Sorry to say, but its happening to everyone and they haven't fixed it. In fact it seems that after every update it gets worse. Getting rid of the jumpers and swimmers helped a little, but the problem was not really server overload. What makes it bad is that its affecting game play immensely. I went sad in a CJ earlier today because 4 toons were stuck and the CJ was doing phantom jumps all over the place. Not to mention the gag picking clock keeps skipping so people are often missing gag picks.

Try going to a less populated district (Green or Blue), and you can invite you friend so that way, the place won't feel empty.

If you would read my post in its entirerty you would see that I know that if you go to a less populated district that it lags less
