Help! I'm old school!!

Help! I haven't played for way toolong and need help. Being a 106 and Hollywood 35, I entered Sellbot VP, Only to find that no one went up to the skelecogs to fight? Help a toon out!
What do I do instead of fighting the skelecogs?
Did they all just bail on me or is there a glitch that this ol' toon is missing??
