Trap Question

Just a quick query about Trap...

Does it work on an already Lured Cog, or are you forced to lay a Trap down first and THEN Lure the Cog into it?

I appreciate any response; this may influence my future Gag choices. Ha!

You must lay trap down first. The game will not let you select trap (or lure) if the Cogs are already lured.

Just a quick clarification:

The order of gag execution will allow a cog to be trapped and lured in the same turn (it can not be accomplished on one turn by the same toon ).

Gags will execute in the order of
Toon-up
Trap
Lure
Sound
Throw
Squirt
Drop

So it's possible to trap and lure a cog in one turn (even if a some other toon whips out their bike horn).

A couple other tips....

If two players throw traps at the same cog at the same time, they go up in smoke.


If you choose trap as your 5th or 6th gag, go spend some time in the lower level neighborhoods to get gag experience before trying to use them in the higher level buldings. On some nights when I am not in a particularly tolerant mood, I will refuse to get in a dreamland bulding with a toon carrying bananas and rakes. Nothing like wasting a lure on a level 11 cog with a level 1 banana. Alternatively, if you are having pains because your friends list is full, go ahead and throw some bananas in DL.
