I've got a question

If you have both test and open, can you play them both at the same time? We just got another computer so I'm wondering if test can be playing on one while open is playing on the other.
I'm guessing that might not be possible since test is just duplicated from your other account with the same user name and password and everything.
Anyone know?

I'm not on Test... but... it wouldn't hurt to try. Worse thing that happens is that when the second PC logs on to TT, it disconnects the first one. So, give it a try and make sure the first toon on isn't in the middle of some crucial battle (4th floor of 5story and their 'disappearance' won't end it for the other toons).

Yes, you definitely can. I do it all the time. The Test and Main servers are totally separate; everything including the account information. You might have the same login ID and password on each one but the game runs on completely different servers.

I do not recommend running them both at the same time on the same computer, however. Because of the way Windows works and the way it loads DLLs, etc. you will more than likely get some strange behavior, if it doesn't completely error out on you. You CAN have them both installed on the same computer because the installation for Test is in a completely different folder than main.

If that last paragraph was too technical, I'll put it in layman's terms: Do not run test and production (open, main, whatever you want to call it) on the same computer at the same time.

For whatever reason I do not have the ability to start a new thread. It says I do not have access. My daughter and I started this game a few days ago. She got to the point where she chose the sound track and I chose toonup. I missed how she gets her 15 quests to get the sound track started.

My quests says teh reward is a piece of the 15 piece film to learn it. When she goes to town hall all she sees is laff point upgrades, jellybeans, and pouches I think? Are the pouches what is needed for her sound track gags?

Pouches are to carry more gags... anyways for her training she'll see "sound gag track 1" or "sound gag track 2" etc etc... pouches are not what she needs for her training...

The larger "pouches" are to carry more gags. You'll need to accept that task and complete it before you can move on and be offered the final gag track you're working on now.

Gag tracks are specific, but other tasks like Laff "upgrades" need to be completed as well. You cannot move onto a different area if you don't finish the "carry larger amounts of jelly beans" task...the, "teleport access task" and/or laff boosts tasks.

You can go anywhere you like of course. But you wont be offered, "defeat x amount of cogs in Donalds Dock" for example if you don't complete what you've been offered in ToonTown Central first.

Tasks for just jelly beans and others like it are called, "Just for Fun" tasks and don't affect your toons progress. If that's all you get offered though, and you need a final gag track, etc. You probably have a task that you need to complete before it will be offered.

Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll have more questions but hopefully I can start my own threads later.
