Question ok here's a query for you

i got this question for all old timers here
(ie: people who have been here and have 2 or more MAX-Toons)

right now i have 61-laff toon

i have been told by others once you pick up on the final
Lil' Oldman task that's it for laff-ups

is this true?
because if it is i have a pretty much useless toon come COG-HQ time

Once you finish with the final little oldman than you can get more laff point tasks in donalds dreamland. Did that help?

I think what they meant that until you finish all of your Lil Oldman tasks, you will not be offered anymore laff point tasks. Once you finish all your Lil Oldman tasks, you then will be offered more. Your max laff points is 100 laffs. So you are by no means finished yet.

Talking thanks!

just what i needed to know!

i passed on a bunch of laff-ups because i was doing EVERYTHING else first (ie: gag tracks - bigger gagbag - bigger JB jar )

i found out from here that if you pass on the laff-ups
you can lose the MAX of 100 laffs (as they are 1 time offers)

i guess i will see soon....
i just started lil oldman (final gag track- lure)
so i gonna be working on it for a long time!
(so i am told-- its a long hard pain in the rear)
(worse than 4th toontask task which has about 20 steps to it)

They aren't one time offers. In fact you can't advance to new tasks (you will only get just for fun tasks) unless you fulfill all the tasks required, including laff point tasks.

"The others" may have been refering to the fact that you've made your last gag selection; that you can only access six of the seven tracks (and in the case of this toon, you'll never train for or acquire Trap gags).

No big deal, we all have at least one track missing haha

Past Lil' Oldman task, you have 100 Laugh Points, 250 JB carry and 80 gag backpack yet to acquire in dreamland tasks before your toon is maxed (and 9999 in each gag category to bring your gags to full strength). Getting your gags to full strength isn't totally about tasks, it's all about experience using the gags.

These boosts will come in stages (as they always have); the dreamland tasks will level off at 71, 81, 91 and finally 100 LP.

For me the great part about getting past Lil' Oldman is that if I'm careful about what tasks I choose, I can complete them in almost any playground (and help other toons with their more specific tasks). Helping 43 laffers get the key to Daisy's Gardens is a great way to complete Dreamland tasks.

Keep Smiling, ...Bear

I have a toon that is working on final gag track training with Lil' Oldman in the Brrgh. I have completed all other Brrgh tasks (other than "Just for Fun" tasks). My toon has 61 laff.

If your toon is on the final gag track training in the Brrgh, you should have (or be real close to) 61 laff.

You get the rest of your laff in the next neighborhood, Donald's Dreamland.

You USED to be able to "skip" a few "laff point" tasks, but that was a bug in Toontown that was fixed long ago. Even then, most toons would end up at around 94-95 laff. (My toon, Murky Megagloop, was stuck at 96 for quite a while. I reported the bug to Disney and they fixed him.)

Your signature shows your toon at 61 laff, so you're right on track.

Same here. Darn rabbit, I'm carrying one task, the 20 four story one...

If you have finished The Brrrgh, prepare for ultimate mayhem and destruction.

*Evil laughter in background

I wonder what that was. Anyways, the first task segment will be easy, I mean I thought 7 tasks was easy! 120 Cogs is your weakest spot there. Then comes the 2nd task segment, where 200 is the toughest. Only 6 tasks. 3rd task segment proves to be not much tougher. 4 tasks, toughest is 400 cogs. Final task segment is pain, even though only 6 tasks. 1,000 Cogs! In Dreamland! Sometimes not, but that's for lucky fools. A tip on tasks. Never choose Level 12 cog tasks, over 100 of 1 cog tasks, or over 200 of 2+ buildings.

Segment 1:
1 laffBoost, 2 laffBoost, 4 laffBoost, 3 laffBoost, 60 Gags, 150 JB, Teleport Access to Donald's Dreamland.
Segment 2:
1 laffBoost, 2 laffBoost, 4 laffBoost, 3 laffBoost, 70 Gags, 200 JB
Segment 3:
1 laffBoost, 2 laffBoost, 4 laffBoost, 3 laffBoost
Segment 4:
1 laffBoost, 2 laffBoost, 3 laffBoost, 3 laffBoost, 80 Gags, 250 JB

Well put MJS! One other thing folks, just because you achieve the 'right' to be in Dreamland doesn't mean you must spend all your time completing those tasks there. I have a friend who has to defeat some ridiculous number of Micromanagers but she spends all her time in Dreamland. Hate to say it, she'll be there for sometime to come if that's what she's looking for... MM's are few and far between in Dreamland. So, beware of the tasks you accept and know where to find the cogs you need to complete the task at hand.

Be selective on the tasks you take!

Post i with ya

I think that 1000 cogs is easy just be patient it'll take a while but hey think what you'll achieve and then you can show off what you've done to your friends who aren't perfect toons yet.

I'm a perfect example for all you toons out there. I made mistakes!

My current tasks are:

Defeat 1,000 Cogs:
Defeat 400 2+ Story Cog Buildings:
Defeat 600 Cogs:
Defeat 250 Micromanagers:

I've had this Micromanager task for 1 and a half months, and I haven't finished. It is the barrier to my succeeding! When I complete it, I will have 3 more laff points, making me 100 laff!

Yikes MJS! 250 Micromanager?. You guys do know about task shopping don't you? I never ever had to do a 1,000 cog task. I would never take such a task.

Task shopping is essential. You don't have to go to Toon HQ for tasks, guys. If you can't find one that's easy, go to each town's HQ: Toontown Central, DD, MM, DG, TB, and DL. They will each offer you different tasks for the same reward...probably a lot easier than the ones MJS suggested. It may take awhile to find one but I have NO task above 600 cogs for Chloe Whiskerpoof:

500 cogs Anywhere 3 laff points
600 cogs anywhere 3 laff points
500 lawbots anywhere carry 250 beans
600 bossbots anywhere Large (80) bag

Also, if you can't find something you like in either the HQ on the playground or the HQ's on the street, go into the individual shops on the street. They, too, offer you different tasks for the same reward. My advice is, if you want to make it easier on yourself, never take a level 12 Cog task (those take forever, take my word on this), never take a Defeat 5 story buildings task that is specific (like 20 5 story Cashbot buildings), don't take one that says a specific cog (like 250 Micromanagers). I personally would only take level 11 cogs or lower, general cogs, and the ones that have one category (200 lawbots, 400 sellbots, 300 cashbots, etc).

If you want a big challenge, take the ones I mentioned. I'm just saying it's harder that way. But if you're up to it, by all means...go for it!

Don't knock those tough tasks.

Anyone can do the easy ones. Just look at all the big laffers with weak gags.

Where is the accomplishment in 600 cogs anywhere.
80 or 120 12+ cogs, that's an accomplishment. 200 5+ buildings, that's an accomplishment.

Too many toons out there are taking the wimpy way to 100laff.

You know I wasn't one of those toons who took the "easy road". Bunny had to earn her last laff point.

120 level 12 cogs.

It was interesting but I wouldn't do it again. LOL.

But I did say that if you want a good challenge, then by all means, take those tasks. I will brag about Bunny Summer's level 12 cogs until the cows come home (and I don't have any cows, so I'll be really surprised if one comes home). LOL
