I haven't seen the Phils play since last year, wear they were creamed by a much better team, the Detroit Tigers.

I've actually been more or less rooting for the Rays. Even though I am not a fan of either team, the Rays looked promising. Of course, I can't have a younger team than my Mariners winning a Series before them, so guess I can understand the Phillies winning. I saw only the first inning of yesterday's game 3, otherwise haven't paid close attention to baseball this year.

Yeah, I was rooting for the Ray's too, but it doesn't look like it's their year... After tonights game Philly's up 3-1, and I don't see a young, very inexperienced Ray's team pullin' off 3 straight wins. It was a great run, but better luck next year(especially in that division..).

I saw the game! Comin from a Philly boy, the Phillies winning the world series is the biggest thing since sliced bread! I was soooo psyched when they won! Go Hamels for MVP!

Well, I live closer to the Phillz, so i rooted for them. It was exciting...

I am a Rays fan.. Of course.. Unfortunately, they couldn't pull it out. I have to say though, that was one of the worst called World Series I have ever watched.. The first game they had that terrible call with a "caught stealing" when Hamels blatantly committed a bock. The Rays WOULD have had a man on second with no outs in that game in a one run game. If they would have had a base hit and tied that game, who knows what would have happened.


Then, you have game five where Hamels had such a wider strike zone than Scott Kazmir. That ended up being terrible because they had the rain delay and then had to finish up the game in the sixth inning. Even though the Rays battled to the end, where they had a man on second with one out in the top of the ninth in a one run game, Zobrist lined it hard right to the right-fielder. Hinske strikes out, game over.


I have been with the Rays all year, mainly because I watched them and really liked their approach and their character. Not to mention I have been a Joe Maddon fan ever since he was with the Angels, and I despise the Boston Red Sox. I am still with them for next year, and I am not taking anything away from them because they had a magical season.


I would rather a team with better fans beat them (Philly fans act terrible during games and after) but it happened it's over and now hopefully they will make a run at it next year.

honestly, you can't control what happens when the
umpires call bad shots. but seriously, you can't see what they can from
just sitting at home. and i really do agree with you on some of those things.
it would be different if you were behind the plate seeing the actual pitches.
& yeah, i know. i wasn't there either. so, we all have our opinions. oh well.
i grew up in philadelphia, so of course i love them. hahah. i really do think
they deserved it though. it was an amazing thing to see them finally win a
world series title. because it's been 28 years. & woaah there, phillies fans are
the best maaahn ;P the parade went fine and dandy with no problemsss.
