Rapunzels Toontown Forum

The backup forum site for TTC, Rapunzels Toontown Board has been hacked and the forums are currently non functional. I have emailed Rapunzel regarding the problem however there has been no reply as of yet.

EDIT: Rapunzel is working now

All Phpbb forum versions before v2.0.10 contain many security problems. Try upgrading to v2.0.18.

I sent an email to Rapunzel alerting her to the problem and received a reply today.

When I logged into rapunzils toontown board I noticed a poaaible hack message "ziOx
This is just a hack from ziOxbb" on the main page. I cant tell what if anything else might have been effected but thought you should know.

yeah, it was hacked, thanks for letting me know. doing a google search shows about 1000 other forums have been hacked with the same hack.

Looks like they deleted all the forums, I am trying to upgrade it, which should prevent this from happening again. I don't want to lose all the user registrations, but if I have to I will just reset the whole thing. grrr...

Like I said before, I have seen many viruses affecting all old version of phpbb, I'm glad Rapunzel is upgrading.

It looks like Rapunzels backup site is up again at http://rapunzel.org/toontown although there really isnt anything there to look at yet. (FYI)

well I just pmed nick(the owner of ttc.com) it I can make a new back-up site that I ben using the program from years and I never got hacked. He hasn't pmed me back yet but I have a good feeling he will say I can make a new back up site

She said she needs to work on it, meaning it'll be coming back soon.
