Sigh...

LOL...right now my doodle is as bright as my real dog LMBO! I just went to the test site to try out my doodle...I got in battle with a level 2 cuz I knew my hits would be low and thank goodness they were LOL. I called my doodle 5 times and sighed each time...he he he he he. Went back and called Clarabelle and ordered "Dance"...practiced it on my doodle at my estate and he did it one time and then "?" 11 times for jump and dance. Way too funny. My doodles on open are a little more reliable but for now I don't think "Amadeus" will be coming to any battles with me for a while...LOL.

reliable or not, I don't really see this as being a great tool for big toons.

I bought a doodle, spent an hour training her and another friend's doodle that isn't new (have 4 tricks), then we went in a bldg and purposely took some hits...

My doodle did 5 toon up with jump, then was tired. Her doodle did 5 toonup with jump, then was too tired to do anymore tricks.

We haven't tried the more "advanced" tricks yet, because they weren't doing them reliably even after an hour of training at the estate... but still... to use a turn for no more than 10 laff? (My doodles on open have never given me more than 8 in one shot).

Not on my big toons, thanks.

More busy work. Sorry to be so negative, but that's my opinion.

I don't have any test toons, and I don't have an account :-( I'm so sad!

PS: If your doodle can't do tricks in cog battles take better care of it And say Good boy or girl (depending on grender of your doodle) and scratch it and then give it a jelly bean and no one playing toontown will never PM somone and ask them if they can use there toon town test server account until the doodles in battle thing comes out on open server with there toontown test server account name and password on it.

Does anyone know if they cooperate better if given jellybeans or just being scratched? I just scratch my pets without giving them jellybeans and they cooperate well... It is a less costly way for me to train my pets...

Can't help but agree with you. I have several doodles on my estate and they are ok to heal my low laff toons...and once in awhile the high laffers if they aren't down too much...you know..just go home if you are in one of the boss cog areas rather than tping to a playground and running back....good if you are doing multiple factory runs w/o regagging.

But to call one in battle and use a turn for less than 10 laff seems ridiculous...what's worse is all the kids are gonna be doing that instead of battling the cogs.

I was on the verge of getting rid of my doodles anyway because they are soooo annoying when I'm trying to do a little quiet fishing at the home estate. I'm not sure this update is gonna save em...well, darn...except that the 6-yr old will find them fun.

I did about ten minutes worth of training using scratches and beans. It seemed to work well. One thing is that if you check on your doodles status in your friends list you will have a good idea of whether your Doodle will perform or not. If it is anything but Excited or Affectionate, it probably won't do anything.. and your Toon will Sigh disconsolately....

This is obviously for little kids and little toons. Obviously Disney doesnt expect us to use it in big battle to good effect but we are here to TEST it whether we would use it on Open or not.

Thing is, if it's meant for little toons, who are working on their gags, calling a Doodle won't do much for their toonup experience points.
A big toon doesn't care who does what, but if I was a little toon (and actually I am with Twisted Whiskers) I wouldn't be calling my Doodle, I'm a hog for those experience points.

Now if it worked for big toons, like the Doodle had a big toonup, then I would be happy to call it, it's fun.

I don't know if it's just me , but they seem to have this backwards.

If it's for kids...oh oh, people won't be happy if they are giving up their turn to call their Doodle because they're cute.

Ok..we are going to be stuck with these things...no doubt. I'd rather be able to buy some better fishing bait so I could catch those last fish that my gold rod is stale on but...did Disney ask me???!!!

Anywho...I can see some possiblities and some probs. Little new toons do not have the resources to buy expensive doodles that do good toonups. Big toons don't need little toonups...and so on and so forth. Now..if I could call any doodle on my estate...that might be beneficial. And as near as I've been able to tell, those expensive tricks we buy are worth nothing...only one (dance?) gives a few more points. I guess I'm just grumpy about the diversion.

I wish I could go on the Test. When I click forgot password and enter my e-mail and my username, it says that it's incorrect or something, but I know that it's right because I quadruple-checked. Is it because Toontown doesn't like my e-mail provider, Yahoo!? I really need some help!

By the way, I'm a kid, and I'm a high laffer. Ok, on topic.

I would feel better if toontown made the doodles smarter. I almost got sad, and my doodle was excited!
