We're conducting a research survey to determine why former subscribers are no longer using Disney's Toontown Online. As a past subscriber, your opinions mean a lot to us and we would like your help to understand how we can improve Toontown.

Please take a few minutes to complete our survey. Your answers are very important to us and, to show our appreciation for your time and willingness to complete the survey, you will be entered into a drawing to win a cash prize of $500.

This survey should take no more than 15 minutes of your time.

First, make sure you are connected to the Internet. Then simply visit the URL (Internet address) below by clicking on the link or by copying and pasting the address into your Web browser. You may also type the URL into the browser window.

If you have any questions about this survey, or if you experience any technical difficulties while taking it, please contact us at Toontown@disneyonline.com.

Please visit us here to start the survey:

Thank you again and we look forward to hearing from you soon! All of your answers are confidential.
I'm getting ready to complete it and will let everyone know what its about.

edit: Just finished it. Pretty much what I expected - How long did you play? Why did you leave? What did you like/dislike? Would you consider coming back if...

I got that e-mail too. It was odd, considering I still play, but I did quit for some time. It's the same thing that they ask you when you call them by phone.

Do they give you the option to type something they could do to improve Toontown? I think that if Disney wants more subscribers, they should ask people for their ideas for new features.

yes, they did. In several locations too And I guess they knew what some of the big complains were because 1 question was "what could we do to get you to come back?" The answers were something like - make it cheaper; pay by paypal; more substainsal updates; ...

Yikes!
Evil Kid Bugs wants to cancel MY Toontown account, just so he can have a chance to win the $500 for doing that survey!

I wonder what Disney will think of THAT for my reason for quitting Toontown?

What's really funny for me is the second I started reading this post, I got the email for the survey as the same time. And I told them that if I would consider returning I'd want New Toontown features or significant updates. I may consider returning someday.

Not just Cancelled Accounts

The Survey is not just for users that have cancelled the account. We have two accounts and we received the survery to complete.

They did leave room for typing what we liked and disliked about toontown, and I listed 7 things that I disliked that I hope in the near future will be added to make toontown better for us all.

Perhaps they sent this out via email to random users Email address.

Best of Luck,
Dlite

I wish they would send me one. I'd tell them what is wrong with the game right now.

The $500 is of course only for residents of USofA who are over 18. That would make EKB inelligible on at least two grounds (plus I thought he only traded in carrots?).

BTW: the Pudgey clan also completed their survey. Suggested they could give options for levels of gameplay difficulty. But the real bugbear is the two+ year wait for the Bot factories and we only have half the suite so far. If they are so slow to develop new content (and I dont count Doodles as content) then they need to open up the game for player-developed content.

They cannot use unsolicated ideas, but in this survey they asked what they could do to improve the game and get us back.

Yes, as has been stated many, many times. But that wasn't what I was getting at.

When I say "player-developed content" I mean content where the players determine the story-line as they play. At the moment we are locked into a one-size-fits-all story line with very narrow "choices" such as gag tracks. If there were some scope to develop the story line differently then we would at least have new ways to interact.

Actually I doubt that even that would stop the game from becoming boring as after a while it simply becomes the same old streets, and the same old scenarios and quite simply, how many people can play the same thing for years and not get tired of it?

I got same email and when I completed it, would not accept it since I was not from United States.

Hmmm, I got an E-mail similar to that asking my opinion, but I am still a member (It was a survey for already members, I might get it onto this post...)
