• Modified the merits award fix. The increase of necessary merits for promotion will now be more gradual leading up to level 50 cogs. And once you reach level 50 for a cog type you will no longer need to collect merits to fight that cog type's boss, you will earn an executive washroom key which will let you come and go as you please!
• Fixed incorrect "Mary's Go Around Travel Agency" sign again, now it should read "Mary's Go Around Travel Company".
• Fixed incorrect shop name in Task dialogue for "Timbre, Equipment for the Singing Lumberjack".

I know I'm not Batleth, but I'd be glad to tell ya how I read it. Instead of LEAPING to a consistent need for 8900 bucks once you hit Robber Baron 12 (or 5500 merits for Holly 12), that they will request fewer at level 12 and then request more for each suit level. That way...the INSANE number of merits/bucks won't be needed until a higher suit level.

Either that or 12 will remain where it is, and 50 will be higher.

I was with a friend this morning, and his Cogbucks said something like this:

2300/1100

So, the required number of cog bucks required for promotion had changed to a lower number even though he had already earned more than enough prior to the update. We kind of thought that was humorous.

It seems that the required merits/cog bucks will be lower. It also seems that once you make Holly or Robber Baron 50. you will no longer lose your merits. Instead you will be allowed to do VP/CFO runs all you want.

I am still needing 5500 for Holly 21 promotion, so I guess we shall see what they did to the greater than Holly 12 merits needs after I run the VP again.

When I asked for "Layman Terms" I had already given thought to all the variants that others had said here. And that was the main purpose of my original question. News Releases, whether or Test or Open are bogus and Disney should address that.

I am going to submit a suggestion, which may or may not go through a wormhole. Disney, please, elaborate more on your news releases about the present and future changes. There is plenty space to write about it, do so. I know I could wait and just learn the hard way, but why? Are you going to give out news releases Disney? Then do it all the way, perhaps give one or two examples.

Either way, I think what's coming will be good news for everyone.

I just logged on to my Holly 29, and he only needs 2360 merits. Yesterday it said 5500. Woo Hoo!!!!! I agree that it is about time they stopped penalizing the Holly/Robber 50s too. Hope this gets to open soon.

Does this mean less merits leading up to Holly 50?
