First of all, I get the feeling that you think I was being disrespectful towards (your mom): I was not and apologize if it came off that way. What I meant about not making sense was Disney's coding that awarded different merits depending on the order you fought the cogs. Your mom's explanation was very clear and I understood it and (sincerely) thanked her for it.

As for the time thing: My obsession over time is not at all that. I was wondering aloud about the efficiency of spending the extra time required of backtracking in the hopes that maybe somebody had already done the research and could/would provide the results. But you have to also consider that I, and from what I gather; most people, do not run the factory for fun; I run it because I have no other viable/reasonable option. I want to fight the VP and Disney has set it up so that I have to do something that I really don't enjoy doing (11 times, and soon to be 29! ) to be able to do that which I do enjoy. I'm simply trying to minimize my efforts.

Please don't take any of this as disrespectful or even contrary to anything that you've stated. Text is often cold when it is not meant to be; it's just one of its' limitations.

Sorry, I honestly don't know what got into me. This was the third thread I've been involved with where someone was talking about the time issue. One of the others who posted is completely obsessed with the whole notions of saving a couple of minutes. I'm sorry I even mentioned it in here.

About having fun in the factory, I've been doing mints so much lately, that the factory is a pleasant change. At least it is for now, if they change it I don't know if I'll go in it at all.

Most of the reason PPL even talk about the different routes is to gain more merits and save time. Before Cash HQ came to Open I used a 599 merit route it was a wash (1 minute Longer) on time and it gave you 18 extra merits Now some would say "Big Deal!" but here was my point: if you ran 9 of the 599 routes your final run was for 109 merits, where the final run using the 581 route was 271. My route made it so you could solo the final run without regagging so the extra 9 minutes per run was actually less in total time and even less if you had a team that was all on the same amount as you.

Time is an issue to many players but I did it because it worked for me. To each their own...play the way you want and have fun...that is what matters!!!
