But they need to help us, I bet they think we're all ok, maybe when the hurricanes are gone from everywhere we could get the Test server back but the hurricanes most likely arent the cause

I give up for today to go on the test site. I think Disney doesnt care about us testers. It's bad enough that it has been one year since last head quarters, now they are giving us grief about logging on.

Maybe the DOODLES ate the SERVERS!

Thumbs down Mmmmmm

I sent bug report to Disney about test server on Friday, thinking they were being bombarded with reports, it would take a little time to get an answer from them. By Saturday, I had gotten no answer. Sooooo, I sent bug report on open, in a few hours a got an answer from Jessica. And her suggestion was to send bug report to test. AHHHHHHH, I replied to Jessica, that everyone on test had sent bug report and server was still down. I made a suggestion that since she worked for Disney, as well, that she could make a call or send an office memo to test techs. HA HA, still waiting for a reply from Jessica, lol. Oh well.

The test server has been down now for 3 days.

Has anyone gotten response yet from the open server live support?

Did the people responsible for test, just fall off the face of the earth? I really do like this game, but the lack of communication doesn't come acrossed in keeping customer trust. Isn't this what Disney prides itself on?

2:46 PM here and still no Test server!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On Monday, we might get replys from Disney[If you sent them an E-mal over the weekend], that's just a guess. I thought maybe bacuse 2 days ago was August 13th 2004, which is a bad luck day. Could this day be affecting the whole weekend I wonder? Also, if the Test server is at the same location as the Open server then wouldn't that make the Open server unavailable aswell?

Its a test server. Disney reserves the right to take it down at any time without notice, cancel your account on test, etc. Since test is just for debugging, Disney wont be too concerned about it.

Exclamation Don't worry be happy....

Someone probably unplugged a cord while tripping over it or something stupid like that and they will fix it on Monday anyways they will be flooded with all the error messages from everyone.

Just to clear up the issue of where the server is located they are in CA not in Florida ok.

The test hasn't been down for three days, I was on it yesterday, no update but it was up and running, lets hope it's an update this time.

I hope this doesn't mean they're having trouble with the Doodles....those errors are database errors which means something is wrong in the data.

Toontown would never run off of mysql, too unstable, if the sql service is down for a second on a server it can be perminant data loss of test toons. Toontown runs off of Python. The sql error was there bcause the site runs off of mysql and php.

Sally Kat you are the only one to post that they have been able to get onto Test at all this weekend.
Do you mean you actually played Test? or that you just loaded it to see if it was updated? (We can get it to load the initial screen where you pick one of your six toons but cannot actually load a character).

i hope it DOES mean they are having trouble with doodles. because that would mean that the doodles are being added
they can always fix the problems

Could it be???

I tried to get in there too. I even uninstalled the program and then reinstalled it. I thought creating a new toon might work. Yet, nothing seemed to do the trick. Maybe they did just install the updates. And now there's a communication breakdown in the system, between their computer's data and the server??? It couldn't be our pc's that are to blame. Because, we are obviously logged in at the time when it happens. And everything seems normal until we are almost in game. That, and the fact that it's happening to everyone here. I sincerely doubt that the weather was to blame. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't even get into the tester site. My gut tells me that when they installed the update, IF they did install one...
that someone messed up or something in the computer data got messed up. I'm by no means a computer wiz, but I know that there's a lot that goes into a game. There is a lot of data that is being sent through the system to our pc's. Would it surprise you if the error lies in there??? That's where they should start looking. Thanks.

No thats not it. Toontown runs mostly remote. Just about the only thing that we have on our computer are some files telling our computers where the server is, Panda 3d, and some textures.

Our computers are not to blame

One thing is clear. The problem lies on their end.

Virus

Obviously the test server contracted a virus. It must be the "Doodlebug".
