Cog Building Takeover Event

Hi all!

As a little diversion to the happenings in TT, and as a fun event, ToonTownCentral is going to sponser a cog building takeover contest on the 21st in conjuction with Disney donating money to the Starlight Starbright Childrens Foundation.

All participants must sign up by posting the name of the toon they will use (in the TTC contest) in this thread. Remember, even if you can stay half an hour and you could only take down 5 cog buildings, that's an extra $5.00 to charity. Winners will be judged by who is highest on the platoon board, and this post will be edited a few minutes before the contest begins to show what district the contest will be held in. If your toon is already on the board, because you were helping a friend, the score that you had on at the beginning will be subtracted from your score at the end. 1st place winner will receive a free Private Message and Signature Subcription for a year. 2nd and 3rd prices winners will receive their choice between a Private Message or Signature Subscription.

Please note that the judge's decision to who won is final

just a Idea. I will be in hollywood so I cant play in it :-( but why not wait till the trading cards come out you will know who won the contest instead of a estimate if the winner came from ttc if u are doing floors then this wont work probably.

This is a seperate contest for TTC, not to see who, for the general TT area (every district) won.

it's true, most people don't have sigs, but if the winner has one, they would only get one prize....

second, the TTC contest should be void to mods cuz, well, it's kinda obvious.... *coughalreadyhavethesecough*

If I wasn't about to leave, I'd ask KB if we could instead give an e-mail subscription with the PM subscription (ONLY if the winner already has a signature subscription.)

As much as I realize this is ment to help I think it may actually do less to help the charity. If a whole bunch of us all go to one district then buildings will run low and hard to find making it longer to take them out. Some may even sit and wait for new ones to be made, time which could be used to take out buildings in a different district.

That being said I am still planning to help the charity out that day anyway and will sign up my toon for this contest (Master Toppenzilla) but once I have to start taking too much time to find a building I am going to switch to a new district. The charity is more important to me than the prize.

Yes, but unfortunately, there is not a sure way to find out who has taken over more buildings. Screenshots can be doctored, people can go there earlier...you see the dilema in switching districts?

And I'm sure KB will have NO problems with switching "subscriptions" for those who already have signatures....something will be worked out. And no moderators will be participating in this event other than to observe or judge. As was stated...what incentive would we have?
