  • Testing new bug fixes that keep districts running more stably, and return reliably if they go down.
  • Fix for phone/bank/closet to attic bug where friend using item could get trapped in attic along with item if it is put away during use.
Three days from Test to Open. Given the population of Test these days, I doubt much testing has gone on of this update.

They need to open test up for everybody. This way more people will be willing to 'test' things. As it stands, *NO* customers paying via UK side have access, and enquiries to Disney have advised that UK customers *can't* get access to the test server

Not fair!

When I am on (usually after 6 p.m. C.E.T.) it rarely gets into double figures.

As I write this, the population of Test (total for all three servers) is two toons including Chip. Don't think I'll solo VP then. Maybe the Factory.

I expect there will be more when there is a new HQ to test...

EDIT: The other toon is "Grampy Abbah Loney". Respect to the doggy dude for actually being in Test.

Sounds to me

they need to boot out testers that aren't showing up consistantly and open the spots to those of us that would be willing to consistantly visit the test sight and do the test.

If what you say is true that not many are testing, that would do a lot of explaining as to why their are so many bugs.

Not necessarily. Many reported bugs go unfixed. Spotting the symptom of the bug is not necessarily a clear indicator of the source of the problem.

There are bugs which testers have been reporting for over 12 months which are still unfixed. Many bugs get reported and fixed quickly. Testers tend to flock back to Test when there is a substantial update which needs thorough testing. The last such update was...............................

On the other hand, I would like to be able to fly in Donald's Dock again. Those were the days...

There's also an added problem. Changing a piece of code to fix one bug may introduce new bugs. take the recent hic-cup where lag became an issue.

And remember the 0-bug? Oh man, that was the nightmare. In the end, Disney had to 'roll back' to a working version then redo everything done after that version.

If it were simple, all the bugs would be fixed in this and every other software title on the market. It just isn't so because of the added complications and introduction of new (and sometimes worse) bugs. (the voice of experience!)

What exactly would you like me to go Test. There isn't anything for me to test right now that you, or anyone else can't test on the Open servers.

Trust me me when I say, I'd rather play Test. 99% of the people you run across there know just about everything about the game. When you run into a strange toon there, you don't have to wonder if they know how to play. Players wouldn't dare to tell someone "I think this is to risky for you" there. There are plenty of players on Test. People show up when there is a reason to. There just isn't any reason to right now.

Testers have nothing to do with the many bugs you see. We have reported them. Probably on multiple occasions. Disney doesn't seem to care much about the little bugs that don't hurt anyone. If it causes the server to crash, or causes another player grief, they usually act quick.

When I applied for test I got accepted in about 4 weeks, this is because I send several bug reports. You have a better chance to be accepted for test if you send bug reports on open consistantly.

I was on Test when I had the US account. Did a mighty fine bit of testing too, finding lots of bugs. However, now I have a UK account, I can't test, and Disney advise me UK customers can't test on the US servers.
