Before you submit your fan art. . .
I know many of you aren't really gonna care about all this legal stuff, but I just thought I'd go ahead and bring it up anyway, just in case.
(Don't worry, a translation will be given!)
Note: This is my personal interpretation of Disney's ToU and if it different in any way from the actual meaning of the original text, well, my bad!

If you send something to them, they can do whatever they want to it. They can change it, put it all over their website, showcase it on the Disney Channel, print 16,000 copies of it, and anything else that they may feel like doing with it- and they won't owe you a cent.
Your submission has to follow the Rules of Conduct (explained at the bottom of this post) . Also, you have to own the rights to it, meaning you can't use any drawings, paintings, photographs, or anything else made by anyone besides you in submission. That also means that you can't use copyrighted characters like Scooby-Doo or Spongebob.
You CAN use Disney's characters if they tell you that you can. Does this apply to the new website's fan art section? I dunno. You can see the TT logo and cogs in a couple of different pieces of art, but until we see someone like Mickey on there, there's no telling. BUT, if you DO use something that belongs to TT (and even if you don't, I'm not sure) , then hey-presto, you do not legally own the picture anymore. Disney owns all the rights to it and the characters in it (unless, possibly, you've already had said characters copyrighted) . If you don't like how they use your stuff, then tough. Oh, and all that applies even if they don't end up using your piece. Harsh, huh?

1. Be nice.
2. Don't break the law or do anything to make it look like breaking the law is a good thing.
3. Don't steal other peoples' stuff. Using a copyrighted/trademarked characters or words (like Animaniacs or Pokemon) counts as stealing.
4. Don't even try to make any money off've anythin'. Getting paid buckets cash is Disney's thing.
5. If you give Disney a virus, you're goin' down.
6. Observe proper forum etiquette. If it wouldn't be allowed on TTC, TT's certainly not gonna allow it.
If you follow the rules and nobody else does, then it's your problem and not theirs.
