Speedchat Plus is Now Available

The players of Toontown have asked for more ways to chat in-game, and we've listened. The Toon Council is excited to announce our newest addition to Toontown -- SpeedChat Plus! This new feature is available to all players and allows you to chat with other Toontown players by using approved words from the Disney SpeedChat Plus dictionary. Words that are not in the Disney SpeedChat Plus dictionary will be highlighted in red. You then have the opportunity to choose alternative words prior to sending your message. Now you can really express yourself in Toontown like never before!

eh... so far its still very buggy.
I think its ok. I had some cool conversations w/ randoms today. (One of them knew the CCG. I asked out of curiosity and lo and behold, he knew. Further proof that the CCG is indeed very popular.)

Once disney rings out the bugs, I'll enjoy it more.

This is really helpful and I am enjoying it. So far I have hit no bugs and it has been great.

The only thing that could be improved is the Italics, it would be better if it was still just turned to red. Easier to spot that way.

I have a question about it though. If you say something to a person without it enabled, will they still see it?

lol i haven't been on Toontown or TTC in about a week (busy with christmas and finals) and i opened the vista launcher and saw the "SC+ now available" thing on the side and was wondering how long it had been out. I feel good that it was only yesterday (at least that's when this was posted lol)

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why this can't immediately be available to UK Toons.

I've been on TT today and most toons (all US based I presume) are using it instead of speedChat, so I cannot understand a thing anyone else is saying. Why (once again) are UK based TT members being penalized? We pay our subscriptions the same as US members so why can't it be released here at the same time; it can't be that difficult surely?

I would love to know when is this being rolled out for UK Toons???????

This is terrible! Nothing seems to be working. I can't see my own speech bubbles and there is a terrible whispering sound whenever somebody speaks. When is Disney going to do anything right?

A few bugs that will be fixed. You can't see your speech bubble when you hold a key down currently. I'm sure it'll be fixed soon

I found out exactly why it does that!! I was getting EXTREMELY annoyed by that, because every time i was near a sf, my SC+ whispered to them. It also whispered to all my sfs at once. It was really annoying!! I would be talking to someone who wasn't my sf, and my sf would respond in whisper with a, "What? o.o?"

Anyways, I figured out what you do to do that. So, first you type your sentence or whatever. When you go to press enter, make sure you're not holding down shift at the same time. As long as you wait until the whole thing is typed, and you aren't holding down shift, it will appear above your toon's head. This is what happened for me, anyway. I hope you can make it work!!

I LOVE speedchat+ once I figured out how to stop that whisper thing!! It's so much easier to communicate, and almost like having a larger friends list. I really like talking to new people and playing with them a lot, but it seems like my list is always full. This way, I can actually have normal conversations with people without worrying about Xing a friend. Way to go Disney!!

I also look forward to talking to more people from TTC!
