The Ides of March

The ides of March are upon us and Toon HQ has learned of a sinister plot by the Lawbots to take over the streets of Toontown. A Backstabber Cog invasion is set to take place Saturday, March 15 and run through Sunday, March 16. With so many Toons storming Bossbot HQ, we really need your support facing this menace, and to help, the top 10 Toons who defeat the most Backstabber Cogs each day will win a copy of Disney's "The Aristocats" Special Edition DVD and a copy of Disney's "101 Dalmatians" Platinum Edition 2-Disc DVD!

As much as I'd like a V2 invasion, it's very clever of Toontown. For those of you who don't know, the Ides of March occur on March 15, the day Julius Ceaser was stabbed to death. It represents bad tidings and bad luck, as well as his epic death. Hence, Ceaser's stabbing is represented by Back Stabbers.

Clever, and ironic, but little kids probably won't get it. Personally, I was hoping for something.. bigger than backstabbers.

Guys, we really can't complain because we did kind of take it too far.. I mean, it's not like they went all crazy on us making it seem like it was something THAT important. It was on the Front Page, but wasn't even the top story, and we know anything that was coming out THIS weeked(if it were such a big deal), would be on Test first, and they would be sure to show us it as the Top Story. It was a little article, and although I think they did overdo it some, we also did and took it too far. I AM disappointed, I wanted it to be more, but unfortunately I know next time not to trust that Disney would make something on such short notice, and right after they made BBHQ. They prolly are just doing this so they can test the HQ, although I doubt a little BS invasion is going to keep anyone out of BBHQ... Maybe the low laffers at least?

I, for one, doubt this has anything to do with the release of BBHQ. It's not like this is some random event they could have put any time of the year. The Ides of March is about Juluis Caesar being stabbed in the back by one of his friends, not crunched in the beans in May. I suppose this is a clever coincidence, and heck, maybe it's to help the lower-laffers progress faster so they can try out BBHQ themselves. In my opinion, this is just a clever little "holiday" for Toontown. I mean, who here is opposed to getting double jury notices and stock options for two whole days?
