Pretty sure it's just a play on words - people who are great with plants and gardening are known to have a 'green thumb', so Toons who are great gardeners have 'green gloves.' But not real green gloves ...

wait i kno diffrence peepole garden less in winter and mostly in autumn as people need crops as plants cant grow in winter soo gardening in winter is quite impossible but still its tt where u can shrink and get squished by a stompper and live

Yes, but remember the newsletter where that bear tells us to drop by and say howdy? It was actually an easter egg where you go to her shop and say "howdy". There's stuff in the game still for different color gloves, maybe there is something to this.

February is right around the corner. Several annuals can be planted in a 'seedling box' so that they can be transplanted when it's warm enough outside. You'd have to keep the box inside where it's warm though. Or use a small greenhouse. Some perennials will also sprout in late February/early March. I have a picture of the Crocus' in my front flowerbed in blossom and covered with snow.

And yes, I agree that the 'green gloves' is just a play on words.
