Toonfest 2007 (MERGED)

We just got back from Toonfest. It was great. Unbelievable what Disney did for the price. The food, games, prizes, toon tasks, etc.

Yes it was a Great Deal for the money!

FYI, the neighborhood in front of Boss HQ will be a Mini-Golf Land and will come out soon, way before Boss HQ which will be Golf themed...

There is a reason why there are 8 tree mounds on your estate...

and if they come out with a Toontask for Rainshowers on your Estate for One Week, so you can go away on vacation and not come back to dead trees...It was my idea! They loved it and said maybe the toon could do a "Rain Dance" to start it! heehee

I used to live 15 minutes away from Disney. But, now that I moved, I live about 13 hours from there.

I'm sure it was really hot, it was in triple digits where I live (upper FL). I wonder why they had to do it in August when they could have had okay-ish weather in winter/spring. Maybe I'm just mad because I'm going in January.

What is the 8th mound for, to grow our own golf club?

Oh, but along with those higher level gags, there will be higher level cogs.

There will be 3 more laff points for golfing and 5 for bossbot HQ. We were told there would not be a laff limit on golfing but would be for Bossbot.

Also soon we will be able to carry 25 of My Phrases instead of the 15 we currently can carry (they told us they tried for 30 but 30 will not fit on to screen.)
Also a larger closet will soon be available. I did not catch how many pieces the new one will hold, but anything larger is most welcome.

And just a thought on the timing of Toonfest, since there was such a very short notice, did they purposely wait till they were ready to release info on the new neighborhood and Bossbot HQ? Seams a bit suspicious to me.

They also mentioned that Pirates of the Caribbean would soon be an on-line game like Toontown is. I thought it was already, tells you how much I know.

Anyway it was great to be there.

Phase 1 of the Beta test for the Pirates of the Caribbean online is complete and the next one is scheduled to start in September.

Yes the 8th mound is there because they always imagined an 8th gag track and with a new level of cogs coming it could potentially be timed with that. I couldnt get the dev to confirm that though, lol.. but got the impression from his subtle hints it is very possible.
