Open is down. Bummer

What's the deal?

If you are updating, please don't make me DELETE my Toontown folder, and redownload. I only have a 56k modem..

I had to re-download on Dec 3rd. It is horrible, 3hr wait.!!

I too am tortured by the 56k dialup but the downloads aren't as big a deal to me as the way they go AOL on us and add toontown icons back into your start menu and desktop since I renamed my desktop one and changed the url to jump right to the logon screen (change the shortcut to "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" https://account.toontown.com/webLogin.php ) and moved the start menu folder into a subfolder to tidy it up but every patch they go and re-create them again.

For me, Toontown Patches freeze IE 5 and 6, and AOL (AOL piggy backs on your browser)

Yea Toontown crashes my IE also (Win98 IE6SP1 w/ win update patches) but I worked around that by running it in a window and then closing IE after toontown starts. That also seems to stop those weird video errors where it crashes and takes me to a page that tells me to download the video drivers for my card, the same version that I have installed.

Bleah. Unlike some of you I have to go to work tomorrow... but I was hoping to get in an hour or two game time before I went to sleep. :P

What's the deal anyway? It doesn't say "will be down until 2 am", it just says "Closed, come back soon." Soon is when? 3 am? 5 am? Next Sunday?

lol @ sir spiffy.
Um anyways it said earlier it would be up at like what 3 pst? But then it changed to just check back soon. So....don't think that is a good sign! hehe you should all come chat in the TT chat so we don't clutter up the board.

Those things belong in a museum, or better yet a recycling yard! Mine isn't much better though, it's a wimpy 32M TNT2 AGP, at least I get decent driver updates since the detonator package covers it.

That and Toontown is STILL down, all the late night/early morning Toons are SOL I guess...
