How do you actually play on the test server?
I tried to log on to it but it said my account or password was wrong.
Do you have to be specially selected to play on them or what?

what is the emotion problem you are referring to? On the public (not test) servers I have noticed that the emotions frequently do not work at all - seems to be on some servers (districts) and not others. Is this the bug you are talking about?

I wish I could rely on the veracity of the release notes to tell be what is in the new release. Several times I have noticed changes in a new release that affected me that were not mentioned in the release notes. While only one thing is mentioned I am curious if there are other, unnoticable changes, like I expect.

I just logged on and updated.... and then got a new catalog (number 14 I think, or was it 13?), but the only things in this catalog offered to me were the halloween stuff. Anyone else have this happen?

This morning when I logged on I found the software was updating.....WOO HOO! When I went to MM (dreading it as I always do) I found that there are lots of notes in the playground now and it is much easier to recover battle damage than it was before. I even found 2 notes on one drum at the same time. What a big help while trying to find all those tickets from Glad Handers.

Yes...the fix to the emotion problem is to get them to not be stuck in "disbled" mode. One thing I noticed is you cannot use emotes during the "happy dance" after battle.

If you are whispering to someone, you can still send emotions, but the "e" is grayed out (this is how it is on production and test) -- this is because you can't really send an animation through whisper, but you do see a green box on your screen -- "ToonHead shrugs".

One thing I did notice on Test was it appears to be a rewrite of the emotion control code (ie when they are available, when they aren't, etc). Emotions are disabled and enabled more concientously (if that makes any sense)

According to support, the bug was that emotions would get "stuck" in a disabled mode. However, if you change districts, the would sometimes be re-enabled. But switching back, they would be disabled again -- for example, if you're in Nuttyboro and emotions are disabled, you could switch to Wackyboro and they would work again; switch back to Nuttyboro and emotions would be disbled again.

The test server code seems to have more control over the enable/disable process for emotions.

I don't have a test account but I heard that in the new update the missing shop painting are fixed. I heard that it was just the normal paintings back, not anything new for halloween or anything. I guess they just got left out last time by accident or somethingl

If you noticed, the cattlelog after #13 has no number.

Since #14 includes the aquarium, I assume that they won't release #14 until they get the fishing to work right. No point having an aquarium, with no fish to put in it, right?

Do you mean an aquarium like a piece of furniture or do you mean the underwater window scene?

Aquarium as in a fishtank. It was mentioned some time long ago that there were some ideas on bringing back the fishtank where fishing would have a purpose. This may be it ?
