I was gardening, and i had a sound garden, but i uprooted all the sounds, except the opera singer. I planted my drop then, and since there r eight spots for trees!, i have two organic lvl 7 gags now. Woo hoo.

Once you remove any lower level tree or all of them, the higher ones will not be pickable. They will still show, but you can't pick from them. That is why they show you the gag levels you can plant when you start doing trees.

There once was a glitch that would allow you to plant two 7 lvl gag trees, but that has been repaired.

Of course, there is the question why 8 trees and only 7 lvl gags. New toons can sure use all 8 to plant two seperate gags up to 4 lvl, then remove them as they want.

I've done that with one toon: started with throw and squirt; once I got lure I removed the squirt and planted lure; then I removed throw and planted trap. I haven't decided with that toon as to which gag tree I will keep.

7 lvl gag trees take 21 days before you can pick them.

I stopped playing end of '06 through last month (major life events such as having 2nd child and changing jobs). This was the week before Level 7 gags came out. Of course I had an established garden at the time.

In the last month, it never occured to me to root up one of those two useless trees and replace it with my Level 7 sound gag. LOL! I have to do that today!

If you press "Home", you can see that your opera singer gag is no longer organic. You can't pick the tree, and there is no bonus. It's only for show.

I did that about 5 days ago and it went fine, as far as I know this has not been fixed.

Its has to be two of same lvl7 of course.

My third toon, and my nieces first both have throw trees.

I have a question about gag trees. Just starting doing the whole gardening thing so I could raise my laff point. I was stuck at 106. It will only let me plant a lure and a sound and nothing else. Do I have to pick from the tree "x" amount of times before it will let me plant something else? My children, who hardly ever play their toons both have one of every gag planted and here I am stuck with only two low trees! Somebody Help!

1) You need to have 1 of each gag to be planted in your gag bag.

2) You must plant the lower gags first to be able to plant higher ones, so if you choose pie and want to plant a cream pie, you need to plant 1 cup cake, then in another plant spot, fruit slice, then cream slice, fruit pie and cream pie. Taking up 5 different spots, all lower gag trees must remain to get fruit or oragainic bonus from higher ones. Plus trees need to be fully grown and fruiting to get gags and bonus (all trees). Cream pie tree would then be ready in 5(5gags)X3(days for each tree)- 5x3=15days. Lvl7 takes 21days before it will be ready for picking.

3) If you want full set of trees plus a level 7 gag tree for one type of gag, you will then need to plant all 7 gags, leaving only one remainng spot left for tree planting, this means you can only specialise in one type of gag if you want level 7 gag on tree every day and the organic bonuses on the highest ones.

thanks for replying but i am still confused. I cant find anywhere on toon town where it explains all this. I have one lowest horn and one lowest lure planted. I do pick from it once a day when the gags are ready, but at know point will it even let me plant the next level lure or sound. When i go to the dirt pile to plant and it shows the screen that shows all the gags i can plant.. it doesnt matter which ones i click on it just wont do anything. Should i dig up and start again....did i do something wrong from the very beginning of all this?

It might seem an odd question, but, did you go to the shop and buy the gags you want to plant yet? You have to have the gag you want to plant in your bag! Sorry if I'm being too obvious.

In fact, best to load your gag bag with one of every gag you have, you can then see what you're allowed to plant.

Well if you have planted the sound(bike horn) and lure(1$ bill), it's back to gag shop to buy a red magnet and whistle 1 of each, then 5$ and bugle 1 of each again. Back to garden plant the whistle or red magnet in new spot, your toon should plant one.

If you definetely have the level 1's planted and trying to plant the level2's (which you have at least one of in you gag selction) and it will not. Then I would remove them and start again. Go back and get bike horn and 1$, make sure you have one of each of other to plant and plant them one at time in one session.

One more thing. Not sure if this is true or not, but you may not be able to plant more trees if trees were dead when you arrived to plant, even if you watered them, you may have to wait 2 days for it to bloom again before you will be allowed to plant more.

If you're trees are still dead and you havent watered them still, and still can't plant. It maybe worth removing them, and starting over, as lvl1's take 3 days to grow, and you may have to wait 2 days anyways for trees to be fully alive again. By removing and starting over you will be able to plant all the trees right there and then and not have to wait anytime to plant more.

If you have watered them wait till they are producing gags, then try the above advice and plant new gag trees. If that does not work , then follow replanting advice..........AND.... if none of this works and you still can't plant anything and are sure you are doing every said here right....then its time to contact TT customer support telling them that your gardening is messed up and maybe they can reset it or something.

well you won't be able to pick one. BUT when you want the sound plant the other sound and pick this opera singer, then remove all but opera singer then plant the other track and get that level 7. Will that work?

Nope you have to have all the lower trees in place and blooming to get the highest level gags and bonuses. All you will have is a pretty lvl7 tree in your 8th spot. There is a glitch to plant two of same trees from one gag, you'll have to nose round glitch forum for that.
