Do I have to remove my Donald statue

to plant my Mickey statue? I was very excited to reach the level where I could add Mickey to my garden, but I can't find anywhere to put him. Do I have to remove Donald and replace him with Mickey?

There's this gray square in your garden. Walk up to it and a window will pop up automatically on the upper left hand corner just like it does when you walk up to a tree. If I remember correctly, you click plant item and choose what statue you want to plant. I don't think the statue does anything special.

You have to dig up the Donald statue in order to plant another statue.
