There appears to be a problem communicating with the Toontown servers. If you are connecting to the internet through a firewall or proxy, it may be a problem with the firewall or proxy configuration. If this is not the case, it is possible the Toontown servers are temporarily unavailable. To retry, restart the Toontown Launcher.

and----
Unable to update Toontown game!
An attempt to update the Toontown game has failed. Game play is not possible until a successful update is completed. To retry, please restart the Toontown Launcher. If you are unable to resolve the problem, please contact Toontown customer care.

Mine says that occasionally. First, make sure you are loading from the application, not through your browser. Second, make sure you are completely logged out of TT from the browser.
To make sure, go to TT website, make sure your account name is not there, if it is, click log out, then close browser, then go to applications, and click on TT icon. Log in, if it says error again, close application, and re open-try again. Sometimes I will have to retry a few times.
GL hope that helps!
