Exclamation Battery Power?

Hey-

I looked at my battery power on my MacBook and it said 5 hours. Now, after playing TT for a few minutes, its down to 53 minutes! My MacBook is brand new, nothing is wrong with the battery.

Is TT a battery drainer?

A: PC makers dont use real world examples to show their battery power. Your mac probally has a 3 hour battery life.

B: The more graphically intensive programs you use, the more battery power you use up.

Yeah, I have to do that with one of mine, so I keep both plugged in. Since m older laptop won't work if it's not plugged in, got a new battery a while back and it busted too. Try this, it should work especially if you play for a while.

I don't think so...I almost always play with my laptop plugged in. It just says its on the AC power.

As far as I know, having the charged plugged in while you play is harmless. It isn't possible to over-charge the battery, because when it is fully charged, the computer runs on the AC power and doesn't use the battery power, as ~LizZy~ said. If it does by chance ruin your battery, since the Mac comes with a year warranty, you can get it replaced. I have had problems with my AC adapter cord, it actually caught on fire, but I was out of the warranty and they still replaced it.

Like CLW said, I suggest just charging it while playing. One lesson I learned is that to never read how long the battery is going to die. What also drains the battery is if you have lots of programs running at once.

I would also suggest doing some tests. Get a fully charged battery, unplug it and run only TT. See how long it takes to go down to 10%. Then plug it in (my laptop dosent charge while running if under 10% battery power)

Then you know about how long you have while playing toontown.

Our MacBook Pro has always been like that when playing TT as well - it just drains the battery life more quickly. I just play with it plugged in - no problem.

same here, it lasts about 15 minutes for me with tt on, and then the power is gone. i would recommend keeping it plugged in and doing tests like kit t kat suggested!

That's strange. I have a MacBook Pro, and when I play TT on it unpluged, it takes at least 2 hours for the battery to drain! Note: This is the battery that came with the laptop.
