New mac user

I just boss battle (ceo) for the first time.
I couldn't get off the seltzer or golf ball in time to not get hit by the "fore". I have cable internet. A new mac book..... I tried hitting the esc key.

Any suggestions?

I don't know if it's just a problem with MacBooks and MacBook Pros, but my MBP's "esc" button doesn't work in the CFO or the CEO. On my IMac, the "esc" button works fine though. It could be because it's a full keyboard, while the MacBooks and MBPs have compact keyboards. I would suggest you keep that Mickey glove pointer right over the "x" button and click it every time he yells "FORE!".

That's what I do. I prefer just pressing the button.

I was doing this... but I never got off in time. I was hoping I was doing the wrong thing?

Well, what I do is right when he says fore, I let go of the control key, then press the button. He gives you enough time to do a little bit more damage and still press the button.
