I can assist with this one.
If you are getting the status movie error, that means the TT launcher is having a problem connecting to the Toontown servers. Can you tell me what your firewall settings are on your Leopard system? I am running the latest version of Mac OS and it's programs and I updated the firmware on my iMac a few days ago and I'm not having problems connecting at this time. |

Mine does that sometimes, but it usually fixes itself if I give it a few more tries, so don't know if we have the same problem. If it gets really bad and doesn't update after a few tries I restart my computer.

Yeah, mine used to do it infrequently in the past but now it's doing it ALL the time. I've restarted and everything.. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled toontown to no avail.
But different users in my house have different screens or whatever on the imac.. and it works fine on everyone else's screen but mine... So that's even weirder. Oh well. |

So, I think I am having a similar problem. I am on the latest Mac; I just bought it a week from today. I have all the latest updates, so I know that I'm up to date. I installed the program just like they tell you to in the FAQ. I click on the application in my dock, it loads the music and the opening screen, but as soon as I get to the login screen, I get this:
"Unable to update Toontown game! An attempt to update the Toontown game has failed. Game play is not possible until a successful update is completed. To retry, please restart the Toontown Launcher. If you are unable to resolve the problem, please contact Toontown customer care." I try to login anyways, and I get pretty much the same message; telling me to update. I have no idea what to do. Please help! This thread sounded similar to my problem, so I posted it here without starting a new thread. |

This happened to me, and the solution is simple... Uninstall Toontown, than reinstall it. I think it's just an error with the new update. Updates can mess a bunch of things up, but once you update, and sort everything out, they usually make it better

The same thing is happening to me. I even restarted TT. It's weird though. For one minute,it works, and the next you know, it doesn't! When I would try to log in I would get this."ALERT! Sorry, play is disabled until a successful update is complete." Can someone help me with it?

Quote:
To update your mac 1 Click the apple in the top-left corner 2 Click "Software Update" It will automatically search for new updates. Then just let it download.

I did the Software Update, reinstalled Toontown, and it still doesn't work, even after 4 or 5 tries of loading it. It used to load after a few tries, now it won't load at all.
I still get that same warning, about a successful update. |

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I am running latest software on my Macbook. I had to do the permission repair from disk utility thing. Sorry I do not know what the name of it is, only had my Macbook for a few months. Once I did the repair, no problems. Hope that helps.
