My tip to ANYONE who disconnects is to check their internet IMMEDIATELY after disconnecting. Get on Safari and see if you have internet.
This way we can tell if your ISP or Router is having problems, or if its TT itself. |

YAY finaly got a reply back from toon town.........Thank you for your bug report. Based on the information you submitted to us in your bug report, it appears that you may be experiencing some latency or "lag" in your internet connection. Latency is determined by the amount of time it takes for your computer to 'talk' to the game server (commonly referred to as a ping). This has nothing to do with bandwidth, so even high-speed broadband connections sometimes have latency problems. Latency is not something that can easily be changed. If you connect to the internet through a proxy, it will greatly increaseyour latency, since first you need to talk to the proxy, then the proxy talks to the game server. If you are connecting through a proxy, please try disabling your proxy or contact your network administrator (or Internet Service Provider) for additional instructions on optimizing your proxy configuration. Through our experience, we have found that users with high-speed internet connections (DSL, cable modems and satellite) often experience less latency than those on dial-up connections. This may not be an option for all of our users or you may already be on a broadband connection, so another option is to keep your computer running smoothly. One good way to do this is to free up as much RAM as possible. RAM (memory) stands for Random Access Memory. Toontown requires at least 128MB (Megabytes) of RAM, but we recommend 192MB or more to achieve the best experience. It is important for the RAM you have in your computer not to be taken upby other programs. By closing other programs before entering Toontown, you will free up more RAM to. You also can upgrade the amount of RAM in your computer relatively easily. You can purchase and have RAM installedat your favourite computer store or through your computer vendor.Another way to improve the speed of your computer is to update your video drivers. Disney's Toontown Online utilises the latest 3-D featuresof current video cards. It's helpful to stay current with your video card's latest software drivers for optimum performance. The page below has links to popular video card manufacturers' web sites where you can download recent drivers. http://www.disney.co.uk/toontown/graphicsdrivers.html We hope this helps to resolve the problem you are experiencing and look forward to seeing you in Disney's Toontown Online soon!

Yep, another automated response from TT support...
If you want to check how much memory your Mac is using at any point, you can go to Applications>Utilities>Activity Monitor. As for graphics drivers, they are updated by Apple when you download and install a minor release of Mac OS X. Latest Version of Mac OS X Leopard is 10.5.1, with the last minor release for Tiger being 10.4.11. There are times in which apple may release graphics drivers updates separate from the minor system updates as well. Just make sure that you run Software Update from time to time. |

I have a macbook pro that has been upgraded to leopard and a new imac which also has leopard, ive noticed that when i use the network feature as an internet source for my macbook pro toontown works well, its not laggy whats so ever. but when i use my dads netgear router as a gateway i seem fine except when i go into boss runs with the CCG, so maybe it has to do with companies or something idk

I'm pointing you out to this topic
- Fix for Broken Connection - Because it helped me tremendously ^^ It has to do with your wireless internet. Everyone with wireless has it. We don't have a steady connection, which Toontown needs, making us disconnect every couple of minutes. Hope it helps ![]() ~tator |

I just got my macbook about 2 months ago, I had problems in the begining, I had to make sure I had TT in my dock, I didnt realize I had to go through the application instead of just clicking on safari and logging in like I use to on my windows based laptop. Once I figured that out, I have been fine. I havent been kicked off or booted. My husband on the other hand on his Windows based computer gets booted every once in a while. I have wireless internet, and love it. I just dont know what buttons to use on the mac to do the whole f9 like my husband does, and I learned the hard way not to hit the fn button or I will start running in circles
