How do I decrease size of screenshots? & Lag issues

I'd like to add screenshots to this forum when I post. My screenshots are all larger than 160KB & are too big to post here in this forum. I view my screen shots in preview, & can't find any way to crop them. Any help?

Also, side note, someone mentioned a lot of lag when TTC forum is running at the same time as playing toontown. I was using Safari. I do notice an improvement when I turn off TTC. I tried to run toontown on firefox & TREMENDOUS improvement with gameplay. I can't launch TTC from firefox though. Doesn't load the page.

Do you have Paint? You can resize screenshots in Paint. Go to the "Image" menu and choose "Resize/Skew." Then you can resize it to a percentage of its original size. There should be some sort of resize option in any graphics editing program (I'm not sure what comes with Macs ).

You can't get to TTC on Firefox, but can get to TT? That's strange. I'm using Firefox right now, but I can't launch TT from Firefox (though I know there's something you can download to make it work). TTC, though, I've never had problems with. Do you have any weird security/firewall settings enabled?

I don't have Paint. Is that an application? Also, how do you edit a screenshot if you don't want a name to appear, for example. (Probably with Paint, right?) heehee

you can always upload it to a site like Photobucket

If its on a mac just press Enter/Return on a file and put .jpg at the end. It should ask you to change the file type ,press keep .jpg and it should be smaller
