okay, i am new to the mac world....so 10.5.2 meant/means nothing to me.
i uninstalled and reinstalled toontown and nothing happened, so i went to the apple site and searched 10.5.2 and there is an update if you use leopard. and you have to have version 10.5 and i am 10.4.11 i don't think i have leopard, i have no clue!!! i use safari and firefox when safari gives me fits, which it has not been loading my gmail lately. any direction you could give me would be helpful. the flashing graphics are way old by now. oh, and i guess my question is leopard like firefox and safari? a browser or is it something totally different. i tried downloading toowntown from firefox once thinking that could help, but it won't run on firefox. thanks so much, sherri |

Unfortunately, this operating system has enough new things to qualify as a "mega" update, as I like to call them. It's basically the same operating system with a bunch of new stuff.
I would recommend getting Leopard, because it does have a lot of new stuff... But, unfortunately, Apple just won't give you the graphics update for free. >_< |

Keep checking with MAC Software Update
Hi everyone .... I just keep clicking on Software Update and all of a sudden ... I got a Display Upgrade.
I had upgraded to Leopard weeks before. So not sure why it took so long for the graphics update to appear. But just keep checking if you don't get it right away. Now the flashing is GONE. THank goodness. |

This update was supposed to be a part of the 10.5.2 update but it was split to reduce download size. If you are not seeing the update on your software update, you may download it by going to http://www.apple.com/support/downloa...supdate10.html
NOTE: Mac OS X 10.5.2 must be on your system before this update can be installed, which will appear in software update on 10.5.0 and 10.5.1 before the graphics update will appear, it can not be installed on 10.4.0-10.4.11 |

Thank you so much! Our new MacBookPro came with Tiger installed, but with a Leopard disc. I didn't realize this and have been using Tiger all this time! Installed Leopard last night, then the updates and voila - no more flashing! Woohoo! Thanks for the info!
