I can't make that work from a PC in the ToonTown online chat.

Can you be more explicit about the instructions? Do you _hold_ the alt key while you type the numbers? Do you have to tap it and then type?

I've asked a couple of friends. They can't make your method work. It will work in other applications. But ToonTown doesn't seem to allow it in chat.

You hold the alt key when you type the numbers, and let go when you finished typing them. You also have to use the keypad for it to work, make sure the Num Lock light is on too.

that stinks, cuz i can only use my laptop to play tt. (my pc was a junky 98 before)

You have to hold down the alt key while you type in the numbers.

Release it when you're done to get the desired result.

this also works on laptop. i use my laptop to play TT and can also make the symbols ♥ you just have to make sure your number lock is on. then you hold down you function key (the one that allows you to turn up sound and quick check battery) then your alt key then any number on they number pad which is located along the right side of the qwerty board. letters UIOPJK:M> all have the number keyboard on them. hope this helps

On the mac, hold down the "alt" key (also labled "option") and press the number 2.

You'll get a ™.

what do you do once you type it in the true friend box? hit the "say it" button?
or do u just type with it in the box and that will extend it? please help, TY
