With Mac u cant take photo with the f9 key. Take a photo with Command, shift and 3. My photos go right to my desktop and then I can view and put them in a folder of my choosing. Have fun!!

How to crop screenies

I use F9 to take a screenshot & it is opened in Preview, but I can't figure out how to crop it to <156MB so it will upload onto this forum.
Also, when you use Shift+apple+3, what format is the screenshot in?

And they will all be waiting on your desktop.
When you double click the pictures they will open in preview and you can crop and or save to a jpeg.

Hope this helps :-)
This is what I do as well (command+shift+3). Pictures are easy to find right on the desktop. No searching like with the command+F9.

cmd+shift+3/4

As you would know from the earlier posts, 3 is Whole screen, 4 is crosshairs. This works really well. I tried the cmd+F9 thing and looked everywhere. There isn't a TT folder and I couldn't find it in spotlight.
