What a Macintosh is!

Many people always ask "whats a mac?" Ive seen this in quite a few forums. So here it is. A mac is a shorter name for the computer Macintosh. Macintosh computers are made by the company Apple that was established in 1976. If you dont know who apple is, they are the people who make Ipods. If you don't know what an Ipod is, try looking on apple's website. The operating system they use is called MAC OS. They're newest one is MAC OS X (10) Tiger.


Macintosh computers have a long history of use in the fields of graphic design and desktop publishing. When you look at catalogues, magazines, product packaging, billboards, or most anything that involves visuals or the printed word, and looks professionally produced -- it's likely that a Mac was used to design what you're seeing. Aside from this very serious (well, usually...) business of creating advertisments, posters, and all sorts of other images both moving and still, Macs also make fine home computers.

while my little laptop only has 2.16 ghz processor, 2 gigs of ram, and 260 gig hard drives (i got 3!)(98,111,13 gigs)

and comming out in spring 2007 they will be releasing MAC OS Lepord
