Ideas on how long?

Until TT hits Mac that is...
I just got a new Mac and was so upset when I found out I couldn't play TT. Is there a way to play on my macbook until they support MAC? I have seen a few people say they have a way around it?

Hard to say how long...But my guess s that it will be within the month. here's why.

If you look at the news letter, it lists the following things as "coming soon" in this order:

1. New gags
2. Toontown on Mac
3. Billy Budd's fishing tournament

Now we know that the fishing tournament is at the end of the month. Also the new gags are on test and new things on test usually hit open within 2-3 weeks (i'm guessing here only based on test threads and my experience with gardening); putting new gags near the end of October. So if the first and last of the three "new things" will proabbly be out in the next 2-3 weeks, there is no reason to think that the other "new thing" will not come out within tht same time frame.

I am very surprised by this, however, because in the townhall meeting at Toonfest i asked the Devs if there weer any plans to do this and they said no.

Yes, but you can't run internet Explorer or Active X on Intel based Macs yet...even with bootcamp.

Also, why would you want to put Windows on a Mac? That's like putting ketchup on a Filet Mignon, or putting bald tires on a Ferrari, or putting store-bought icing on a homemade cake...etc. Why ruin a Mac by getting anything Windows based close to it?

Thanks for the info. I hope you're right about the end of the month!
When I decided on MAC I thought I would be able to download the IE for Mac and play but (as I have found out) the 2 computers I bought are intel based and there isn't a way around it.
Oh well, I can wait on it as long as I can swipe my daughters HP laptop to get my TT fix every now and then. LOL

First of all...I know you can, but why? See above post

Second of all...even with bootcamp...on intel based...you can't run TT...Maybe on Power PC based mac, but not intel based. Believe me i have spent weeks trying to get it to work.

Also...The apple site is very clear about the warranty policies. Installling bootcamp on intel based wil void the software support section of you warranty.
