Is the CCG going downhill?

I have done many runs with CCG. Just about all of them good and by the rules of the CCG.

But tonight's VP run in Gigglyfield at 8 PM CST was terrible.

I went in as my black cat, Invisible Shadow.

Lots of elevator shuffling. And I mean lots. This was even after 8 PM went by.

Then the play inside the VP was not exactly exemplary. But that is forgivable. It was the shuffling that went on and on and on and on and on.

All levels of sellbots did it also. Three of them were Mr Hollywoods. Doing the elevator shuffle.

I want to thank a good toon named Java the Dog, 52 laffer, that played excellent and had a sense of humor.

I can remember the name of the toon that used sound on our lured cogs after we told her not to. But hey, I did not get her on my side for the skelecog round so I thought her behavior would be better.

It was not. That side went sad in the skelecog round. So that left four of us to fight the glitching VP.

His trap door would be open for about 0.1 seconds.

C'est le vie.

On to the next CCG run.

Guess I bring my Mr. Hollywood toon and do the Mr. Hollywood shuffle.

And for those of you who do not like to hear about this stuff in posts like this, my god, if you do not complain, then you cannot change things.

Off the soapbox.

See you at the next CCG run.

It cannot be anyworse than this was.

Sorry it went all wrong. I didn't have enough merits to run, but looking in the pit it didn't have the normal flow to it.

The CFO run had moved to the backup district because Gigglyfield was so crowded. Perhaps your VPers were just regular toons out for a run. If you have names you can look them up on the CCG website and see (report them if needed).

Again, sorry that happened to you! We're still having team-oriented fun runs!

We don't mind hearing things like this at all. Especially because I believe most (I can't say all, because you weren't there) of the CCG'ers were at the backup district, because of how crowded the run district was. Did you look to see how many of the toons that jumped, or that you ran with, are listed as CCG members. Because if you were the only one, then maybe your title of this thread should be rephrased to maybe something like "WOW!! After running with randoms, the CCG is great!!!"

I personally tried a couple times to try and move people to the back up district but either. 1.) It doesn't mean much coming from a 15 laffer. 2.) People have't read the guidelines and dont realise that the phrase. 3.) You guys didn't think it was bad enought to leave. So I did my part. Sorry that happened to you but Put it behind you and try again.

I never saw anyone say

"Lets go to toontown central"

So, maybe all those people were just random toons. OK, I can live with that.

Then poor Java and I missed it. I assume Java was part of CCG, or at least knew of CCG. Since he was a 52 laffer with maxed toonup, throw, sound, and squirt. His trap was only marbles.

So, I decided to do a Kookytown run, you know, most populated district.

I ran with 6 good players, and one crazy pink cat that INSISTED on using sound. Even though she had only elephant and AooGAH. And I had that cat for the skelecog round. Oh Joy.

Then, when I suggested that she not use sound on lured cogs, she said NO. She would not change.

So I did what any self respecting fed up person would do, I did not toon her.

But all eight survived and got the card, which was Flippy. That was nice.

Now that explains why I missed the CFO run

I went to Gigglyfield for that also. I was a little late for that one. So I was not surprised.

I should have thought to go to Zippetyham.

And do not worry, I will be joining the CCG runs because 99.99% of the players are excellent players. I probably make up the .01% that is not so hot.

Gigglyfield was the hot spot tonight. I got there a minute or two late and saw lots of toons I didn't recognize and thought about switching to backup dist immediately. Instead I decided to check out inside and found 7 toons standing around, 2 I recognized from ccg runs before. Maybe the others were ccg late arrivals too, becuase we loaded the elevotor with no problems (well, one missed it) and had some excellent teamwork inside.

Gigglyfield was the busy district last night, and it was hopping.

In the CFO lobby iin Gigglyfield, I personally witnessed a situation where 8 robber barons (not CCG members) deliberately shuffled out a bunch of smaller suits so they could all run together in an all baron run. It wasn't pretty.

The toons you ran with last night were probably not CCG members. Also, keep in mind that just because someone has unusually advanced gags for their laff does not necessarily mean that they are CCG members or even on this message board. There are more such players out there than you might think.

Hope you will try CCG again, and have better luck next time!
