Toontown has a bug that makes my computer crash whenever a cog does the Razzle Dazzle attack. That means I can't fight Sellbots until Disney fixes it. So, you may not see me in the pit for some time. I'll still be at the CFO runs, though.

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with Disney's recent open server upgrades. You would think that they would have delayed that upgrade until it was tested more, especially since recent changes on the test servers have made is so that we can't even log in at times. I hope that they correct these issues soon so that we can get back to playing as normal. Until then, See ya in CashHQ!

Hi there

I have the same bug. It doesnt happen each time the cogs use this gag, but most of the time. It simply makes my PC reboot.

Since few, if any, people have reported experiences of what you have experienced, I am wonder if you are having a problem with your video card program. This is the type of problem when it appears to be video information that is causing a conflict. Check your video cards information and search the web for an update, as most manufacturers do put updates for downloading free of charge. I have a Radeon card in all my computers and I've never experienced an video conflict, but some with the nvidia card have experienced some problems, not necessarily have reported what you have reported, but it seems worthwhile to check for updates.

This is just FYI, not necessarily an answer to your problem, just a place to start looking.

Sadly, I do have a Radeon 7500 and have been experiencing some annoying (but not game-killing) graphic glitches for several weeks... only in Toontown; Second Life and other 3D games have no issues. Colors on Toons and sometimes in the environment will flash into other colors -- particularly if my Toon and another Toon are overlapping on the screen. I think this may have started when I took the test-server suggestion to update to ATI's newest Catalyst driver set, but downgrading to older ones afterwards hasn't fixed the problem. Not sure whether the issue is with Toontown or whether my crusty old video card is on the verge of failing.
I'm about to try some of the things mentioned in Do you have a recent performance problem? ...

On another Toontown-related site, I noticed someone with an NVIDIA-based card mentioning that he was told to get the appropriate -older- driver for his card -- linked from the Toontown site -- because the newer drivers and Toontown don't play nice together.

Here's a repost of the letter this fellow got from Toontown Member Services -- including a link to the Toontown Graphics Drivers page.

Dear Toontown Guest,

Thank you for your e-mail. We are sorry that you have been experiencing
difficulties playing Toontown.

It seems that Toontown has been having conflicts with the latest NVIDIA
drivers. Please revert back to the earlier release of the NVIDIA
drivers
linked through our website:

We hope to see you in Toontown soon!

Thank You,

Sorry about what's happening!

Mine is the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 series. Absolutely no glitches. The only problem I'm having is my addiction to TT.

In both our PCs we have the same NVidia Card. While I was using the latest drivers my wife had a previous version. Her PC crashed while mine was playing fine. After I updated her drivers as well she did not experience the problems anymore.

I would highly recommend to update the drivers to the latest version, if you haven't done that yet.

I had the same Razzle Dazzle problem. I upgraded my NVidia driver and now the screen just flickers instead of crashing the game to desktop. You take what you can get I guess..

Because We're totally addicted to FUN in the Town. Say, does anyone know some RL issues. I've forgotten them, but, of course, I'm retired from education and can't find my way back to what others say is RL. But why try - this is totally fun as long as I get a long walk in each day to suit my physical needs.

Installing the latest Nvidia driver (dec 2005) fixed the problem.

Now I just have the donalds dreamland soundbug - anyone know a fix to that?
(where the music suddenly sounds like a big organ, and the sound gets stuck on one tone)

What is this RL of which you speak??? Um, I haven't found it yet.

I thought the problem was fixed for me till I restarted today in the VP. Back to the drawing board!
