Why is SF chat not liked on runs?

Hi All,

I am just curious here as I have seen some run results talk about how there was a lot of SF chat on runs and there should not be. Why don't we like it? I personally like to know how the other side of the battle is fairing so I know how fast I need to get over there.

I can't see

The reason I don't like it is that the bubbles get in the way of me seeing the gag selections of the other toons.

well usually its not like because sometimes people are talking so much that your whole screen gets covered by bubbles thus not being able to see properly, Personally i dont mind it as long as its not toooo much to a point where you like, Shush please Did i make sence?

The major complaint is that the chatter gets in the way of seeing the gag selection of the other toons you are sided with. Thus, leading to team strategy issues like different gags being selected or targeting different cogs.

yup

That's the main reason, there have been times were I have not been able to see which cog or what gag others are using/going for because of the big chat bubbles...

Not to say I still don't like it. There are times it's very helpful especially if you have a sf who is new to the whole thing, that is usually when there is a lot of chatter.

I try to limit sf chat to small bubbles if I use it at all during a vp or Cfo run. Now i've been known to chat up a storm in factories, buildings, and mints, but i try to be respectful of others around me and not just sf chat all the time.

If you are on the same side you can use the whisper like bubbles, so your toon doesn't make any noise while talking and only the people who are near you can see it, that means the other side doesn't see the whisper bubble. All you have to do is put a . (period) before you chat.. However, remember that those bubbles don't go away until you say something else

There has only been one time that I can remember sfc goofing me up, it annoyed me, but whatcha gonna do...

I wish they has a speed chat phrase that says I can't see or something like that, so people understand what your talking about....
